Mac mehr Mini Lipstick 1.8g

This review is for the mini matte MAC lipstick in mehr (say that fast three times)! I am a self-confessed lipstick addict and nothing beats the color payoff of mac lipsticks. This color is perfect for spring It is a beautiful shade of pink that compliments my skin tone. Even though I have light medium neutral tones pink is a tricky color for me. It does not apply like a matte lipstick In that it feels very emollient and It does not drag along your lips. Very easy to apply and the dry down did not leave my lips feeling dry or tight like other brands. Lasting power is fantastic I had to reapply it after lunch but there was still color left on my lips. Mac has the cutest mini lipstick gift sets. They have different sets, all are different shades and come with a cute little bag. The mini lipsticks are perfect for when you travel so you have different options. This size is also good to test out the different colors and if you absolutely like one you can go and purchase a full size. My favorite from the gift set is the shade, Please Me: Muted-rosy-tinted pink (Matte). I really like to wear lipliner with all of my MAC lipsticks. The lipsticks are really smooth and stay on pretty well.

Ruby woo had always been a fav of mine. I decided to grab this mini despite having a full size already. This one is smaller and more compact. I can toss it into even the smallest little clutch for needed touch ups. Same great color payoff as usual. Matte finish ensures a longevity in wear. Amazing shade for deep and dark skinstones. Can be worn as is or paired with various liners for a dramatic and bold look.

I like this lipstick. M.A.C. Tropic Tonic is a pretty flashy coral colour. I think the lipstick is a little too bright for me. I like the deeper red tones better. The formula is soft and creamy, so it applies on smoothly. It gives full coverage on your lip colour and the finish is mat. You don’t need a lot of this product, only one or two good swipes. It weares off after a couple hours. M.A.C. is an expensive brand, but for the price is the quality good. This mini is a travel size, perfect for in your on the go make up bag. You can buy this mini as a full size in stores like Sephora and Douglas or on the MAC website.

Disappointed

I bought the mini Ruby Woo coz i wanted to try since a lot of ppl was hyping about it. I wore it in the morning, and by afternoon i felt tingling on my lips. And then the next 7 days i cant wear any lipstick coz apparently i had sore on my lips. It was the first time in my life I'm having it. I didn't know it was from the lipstick, until i went and get the regular size lipstick in the same shade, because i threw the mini one away, because i thought i was infecting the mini. It was 2 months after my sore subside, I started wearing the regular size ruby woo, i wore in the morning and by evening my lips felt tingling again! I dont know what you put in the lipstick that cause me to have sores on my lips which i never had it ever until i wear this lipstick. Gorgeous colour & staying power

W is the second Mac mini I’ve purchased off LF never tried them before I rarely wear make up these days due to being unwell but when I’m able to I like to wear good quality & colour. The staying power of this is phenomenally good I am really surprised I previously purchased two other brands off here which were the same price but they had the title staying but they just make my lips dry even with the gloss. These on the other hand are so nourishing & they stay I don’t be purchasing any other from now on. Thanks LF for super quick delivery & exceptional customer service too. Please me is a gorge colour I 100% recommend it. If you’re not sure try the minis first but I guarantee you don’t be disappointed. My new fav :)

Great nude shade

I actually bought this on a whim. It looks beautiful on the model. When it finally arrived and seeing it real shade, I was afraid that it will wash out my face. Fyi, I have a neutral medium skin. Fortunately, it looks beautiful on mine. I did notice I need to balance out my makeup on the day I'm wearing this by adding more pink/red shades for my eyeshadow & blusher instead of choosing another warm tone. Great purchase!

The intense red colour is it's only good point.

I've been wearing lipstick for decades. I can put it on in the dark with my hands tied behind my back I'm so practiced. So when I ordered the iconic Ruby Woo matte lip I was excited. It's been such a disappointment. Firstly the packaging suggests a black tampon and is the least attractive I've ever seen. Next it's like I'm a toddler smearing lipstick everywhere. The application is finnicky and requires unforgiving precision. I can't seem to get the inner lips to stay pigmented for long so I end up looking like I've painted a garish ring around my outer lips. I don't even think I can wear this confidently around home, it's that bad. Immediately drying. Two days of experimenting and my lips were peeling. Oh dear.

The perfect red for all hair colours

This is a favourite lipstick colour of mine and I have very pale skin and copper hair and freckles! My sisters also use this lipstick and one is a brunette and one is a blonde! It's the perfect matte finish but can be slightly drying if you use it all the time. I have started using this with Lady Danger over the top as it has more of a sheen and this creates a lovely bright pop of orangey red to the shade. This size is perfect for festivals and nights out but lasts for ages!

Very cute but color not quite right

I live by my Whirl lipliner, use it nearly every day. I wanted to get the lipstick to complete the look. Either they have changed the color, or they are just not meant to match exactly. I own two Whirl lip liners (bought another when I thought I lost one) and the liner is more of a dusty muted mauve - more cool-neutral than the lipstick. I like my lip colors to basically match my natural lip color and am very particular about it. Well… this tiny mini lipstick is so cute, but on me, it looks too orange-y. So sad. Also the finish is a little shimmery but in a way that felt like I was wearing one of my mom’s frosted lipsticks from the 80s. Unfortunately not returnable so in the future I’ll only buy these where I can try first
