Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium Dark 10g

I had a very good experience with Lorena from customer support. I was querying the cost of Youngblood mineral makeup on live chat (excellent product by the way) of which I had bought 2. The cost of the item displayed for sale appeared less than the final checkout price. It turned out the sale price was for a particular color but this was unclear on the page. Lorena looked into the discrepancy immediately and after explaining the reason, offed to give me a refund on that particular sale to compensate for the confusion. She was polite and considerate throughout. It’s good to know that such a fabulous Aussie company has such lovely staff!

But really I wanted to come here and give thanks and my 5 stars to Beauty Affairs! In this current climate (covid) it’s been tough.... I’m a mum of three with a small baby and a child with special needs who as anyone in NSW would know r home doing school.... shops aren’t open anyway and I have been in real need of a “glow up” Beauty Affairs helped me! How? First off, they have great customer service! They’re very friendly and get back to you straight away (given it is within working hours) the pack it and send it and I honestly receive it the next morning! I got this at Mac after a consultant recommended it to even out and help dry spots I was having using Mac Studio Fix powder foundation. It really is moisturizing and I’ve used it by itself without any foundation and the coverage is beautiful. I’ve applied with both brush and beauty blender; both are good but I prefer the blender for economy. If I didn’t have to use up the rest of my Studio Fix foundation, I’d use this exclusively alone. I also find it’s a bit more moisturizing than Bare Minerals Original which I also used for years. But I think Bare Minerals layers up better for fuller coverage. I absolutely love this Mineralize powder from Mac, I got medium coverage, I use it over my foundation and concealer and it provides very subtle, build-able coverage, with a slight sheen on my face. It literally does what I wanted on a powder and doesn't get cakey or lined. It sets my makeup really well, however it does nothing in controlling my oily face so I needed to use blotting paper every now and then. The packaging is cute, very sturdy and a little bulky because it has a compact mirror inside, good for traveling as it has a magnet for closing. It's a bit on the pricey side but I would definitely purchase this again and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a light natural powder.

Love this powder for a medium coverage everyday foundation. When I just need light coverage, I spot conceal and then swirl a large powder brush in this and apply all over. If I want a heavier coverage, I use a flat top brush and buff the powder into my skin. Gives flawless coverage and while it’s not sparkly, it gives a bit of sheen that says “healthy skin.” The powder builds and layers beautifully, and it’s so simple and fits within my 5 minute face routine, but also works in a full glam look. My only complaint is that I go through it fairly quickly and it’s a bit pricey around $40/compact, but for the quick, easy, and beautiful coverage I get, it’s worth it!

A long lasting makeup kit staple

This is the absolute go to for highlighters. I’ve tried so many different brands over the years but this range was the first I purchased many years ago. It’s an absolute must have for any makeup obsessed woman like me and literally lasts FOREVER! The beautiful finish on this gives a heavenly glow, no need to tap excess from the brush which avoids wasted product. I use on my collar bones too when I have fake tan on and get a lot of compliments when wearing it on my face. Use with a tinted moisturiser and it still sits on your skin perfectly

Can't be the same formula I used for 10+ years

My recent purchase of the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder in Dark was very disappointing. I have used this powder for over 10 years and it used to give me a natural yet full coverage without being too heavy. I used to get so many compliments! When I applied this product recently, I could tell the ingredients were not the same. The color was way too light and did not have the same natural feel as it used to. I know that around January 2021, I was unable to find this product in Dark because of a shortage of an ingredient that comes from Canada. It feels like that ingredient was replaced with something else that does not work. I have switched to a different makeup line altogether.

Favorite product!

My makeup always looks flawless when I apply a grapeseed primer, MACS Medium Plus mineralize skinfinish powder, and then a setting spray. I just ordered an extra of this (mineralize powder) ^ because I'd be heartbroken if I couldn't get it. I'm missing NW15 Studio Fix soft matte foundation stick, which I used to apply under this product. Before that I'd purchase NC15 Studio Fix Perfecting Stick. They ALSO discontinued that & currently no stick replacements. Both products worked well with the mineralize powder. All day wear, barely any touch-ups. Got lots of compliments. The product is still excellent by itself, but I like a concealer stick with it.

This is hands down; no questions asked; no formula compares to this one right here. It's highlight that's skin like, it's bright and beaming, it's not chalky dusty powdery but thin, glazed donut - but make it natural, with fairy dust of shimmer sprinkled in. I could see this used with a large brush dusted all over the face for that extra glisten, and this most definitely can be used as a traditional highlighter. Sooooo Good!

This is my #1 favourite powder. I love how undetectable it is on the skin. I am now at that age where fine lines are becoming a reality and this powder with it's light reflecting properties deflects away from my imperfections. It is super light on my oily skin and does not make me feel like I'm wearing a mask like some other powders do. I can touch up without having to worry that I might get cake face. The shades are also very forgiving and you can get away with wearing 1 up or down from your perfect shade. This is a must own for every girl on the go.
