I would certainly recommend this knife to anyone looking for a knife in its class, i.e. razor sharp edge, hard steel, thin blade (non-rusting stainless). It delivers all those things for what I consider to be fairly good value for money. The blade is thinner than an equivalent European style blade, which makes it lighter and therefore easier to hold and use. It is also a pleasure to sharpen with waterstones. A very good knife, and probably my favourite out of the twelve I use, even if not the most frequently used. Having said that, I would add the caution that this class of knife can be one that rewards good technique, while being unforgiving of bad technique. I'd recommend being committed to the knife class prior to purchasing.

Awesome knife. Everything they said it would be, like a surgeons scalpel. Only downside is the handle is a little small, feels a little awkward compared to the larger handled German knives we have. Still an awesome must have knife.

Mac professional knives are at the top of their field. They are well balanced, affordable, comfortable and above all hold their edge and sharpness. Highly recommend
Since buying the knife, I have used it to slice sashimi since I am still a touch protective of it. Having said that, it slices extremely well and with a degree of thinness that I could not do with my previous knife. It runs through the sashimi without shearing and tearing the meat. Absolutely no regrets.
Great sleek knife which is well balanced
