I love Mac Fix Fluid Spf15 Nc15 bc although it's a full coverage foundation, a little goes a long way. When I use a beauty blender sponge, I can create less of a full-coverage effect, which is so nice! I feel this is one of MAC's OG classics. I wish that the bottle had a different applicator, but I have a palette, brushes, sponges, so I never have to touch it so it's not unsanitary. I also find that bc I have dry skin and even though this product is a silicone primer, I feel that heavy hydration is key to prepping the skin for this product, but worth it. It feels breathable, not heavy or cakey. I usually love mineral-based liquid foundations, but this (big jump from my current phase) is so versatile and feels like skin when on... I absolutely adore it! I've read on reviews this has a yellow tint, but I have never seen it and even with a magnifying mirror, pics and videos.. haven't seen a yellow cast ever! It's a lovely foundation. I've even blended powder products with it and just sprayed a hydrating mist dewy hydrating setting spray with a powder blush for example.... have had no issues. I love this foundation.. it's for any season.. just remember to start with only a dab.. and blend that in...if you need more coverage, (I doubt u will), but if u want, add it.. and this can be a full coverage, full glam make-up look.. or you can sheer it out.. I love products with layers like this!... Show more

I know a lot of girls loves this foundation but for me this one is just ok and I will tell you why. It's a medium to full coverage foundation as it is a buildable one. I don't like that it does not have any applicator, I know you can share the pump from other MAC foundation or just buy it separately, but this way you need to spend more money. My skin is dry, so if yours too - you need to prepare your skin very well before you apply this foundation. I mean you need to moisturize your skin. Otherwise the foundation will look cakey because contains powders and silicone. Dry skin will look patchy and foundation will exposure all your dry skin places. It has a good pigmentation so I do suggest to use small amount on the beginning and then apply more if you think that you ... It is long lasting but for me personally is "to heavy" if you know what I mean. It has a spf 15 filter which might be a plus for some girls. I have a NC15 shade as a MAC specialist choose for me but is actually to dar if you have a fair skin. Overall for me is just a good foundation.... Show more

I must say that as a Fair cool-leaning neutral Olive+Yellow skin tone I struggle finding foundations that work with my skin! This is the closest match I have ever found! Keep in mind with these pictures that I am wearing a full face of makeup ( and a very very apparent blush color that changes the overall look of this foundation). This works perfectly with my cool Olive + cool Yellow tones. The only downside is I wish this was more moisturizing for my combination skin that gets dry on my cheeks and more radiant for my Bright Winter seasonal palette. I give this foundation a 10/10. I definitely would recommend this to any fair olives out there who have very similar coloring and depth.... Show more

This is a gorgeous silky foundation with a matte finish that controls shine. I love the consistency of this foundation, it’s fluid and silky and spreads so well. This lasts all day without going greasy or looking shiny, my makeup definitely looks fresher at the end of the day. It’s buildable so I can get a heavier coverage for night but I love to use it sparingly for a lovely light natural coverage for day. It’s light and comfortable to wear and covers imperfections well. It’s so day to find a colour match and easy to use, I just blend it with my fingers. I love the addition of spf 15 so if I’m outdoors I have some sun protection. Mac is a great brand and I was not at all disappointed with this foundation and I would highly recommend it... Show more

The foundation has a creamy consistency, quite similar to the Double Wear from Estée Lauder although its finish is completely different. The packaging doesn't come with a pump and honestly I thought that that was a plus, because I like to apply very small amount on each layer and I'm not sure I would be able to control the amount that we'll with a pump. The smell of the foundation is quite funny. It smells almost like paint. The smell goes away after the foundation is set. The coverage of this foundation is medium to full, but you can easily make it into a sheer coverage as well. It all depends on how much you apply and how many layers. I have lots of blemishes and some texture/enlarged pores and I find this foundation to not accentuate any of it. It blends well on ... It doesn't transfer after it dries. I like to pair it with the Strobe Cream in Pinklite and the finish gets slightly more luminous and natural but not greasy. I apply one very thin layer of the foundation with a brush and then I reapply it only on my problem areas where I have more hyperpigmentation and it covers everything without looking heavy.... I have heard this foundation regaled as makeup lovers and artists favorite so many times. I was in Florida and came across an Ulta that sold it so I was compelled to try it. I am just so deeply underwhelmed by this foundation. I am a foundation snob but this is supposed to be a foundation snob’s foundation. In the last year I encountered the Hourglass Soft Glow foundation, which is gorgeous and, even more amazing, the NARS Light Reflecting foundation. The bar has been set high but not out of reach entirely! This is just a very run of the mill formula. Low medium coverage. Soft matte. Can definitely get cakey fast if you apply too much. Powders are kind of finicky on top of it and the lasting power is average. Workday but not a true all day and night situation. It’s ... I don’t see myself grabbing for this one so much. I do, however, have a pretty good match in NC13. Side note: MAC employee at Mayfair Mall in Milwaukee was atrocious. Worst customer service you could ever encounter. MAC isn’t getting any favors from that lady. Smh.... Show more

I struggled for a while trying to find the best way to make this work. I have very oily skin and use a very mattifying primer so I often struggle finding base products to fit both and blend well. I tried applying as a last step, as a base first step, layering, applying in between steps and none of those seem to make any difference. But I’ve figured it out! For me, it works best like this: apply primer, dot concealer/foundation on face, spray fix+, then blend out concealer/foundation. It helps to blend everything so easily, I don’t have to work as hard to make my makeup look good. I find it doesn’t make my makeup last longer (typical for my super oily skin) but I do notice that when my makeup wears off, it does so much more invisibly. No crumbling, creasing, or ... I bought this Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation on sale at Ulta a few months ago and have been using it ever since… Let me start with the pros. This powder foundation does in fact immediately reduce the appearance of pores. It’s my favorite thing about it. It’s a fine milled pressed powder, so I usually apply it with a dense foundation brush and it gives me the perfect airbrushed finish to my face. I would say it can be anywhere from light to full coverage depending on how you build it up. It also doesn’t clog your pores or cause any acne, which is a definite plus. However,… My biggest gripe with this powder foundation is that it oxidizes visibly. The color I chose is a perfect match when I first apply it, but it starts to lean yellow and become darker ... The color I chose is a perfect match when I first apply it, but it starts to lean yellow and become darker within the first 2 hours. Keep this in mind when choosing a shade! Also, if you don’t prep your skin properly, this foundation will look very cakey. It won’t show up well in photos at all! Lastly, while it does temporarily control oil and shine, this only lasts for roughly 5 hours. While this product has the beginnings to be a favorite on my vanity, the cons are enough to make me hesitate before buying again. If I could figure out the perfect color for my skin without it changing up on me, I would be willing to overlook the other cons and purchase it again for sure.... Show more

The bottle doesn't come with a pump which is annoying but what else is new I guess. This foundation has a very skin-perfecting finish it makes you look like an airbrushed doll. I find its one of the few foundations that doesn't require a primer underneath but you do want to make sure you moisturize. The MAC artist explained that this foundation contains powder particles which makes it long lasting and lends to the beautiful finish that looks amazing in photographs. I have a combo/dry skin type and I prefer not to set my entire face with powder during the winter otherwise it looks too matte and chalky especially since I'm so pale. Studio Fix Fluid ... Studio Fix Fluid lasts beautifully on the skin but I wouldn't say its one of those transfer-resistant, sweat-resistant, hurricane-resistant, tsunami-resistant foundations. There are days in my life where I need 6-8 hours of solid wear but not necessarily ultra concrete type of wear like ELDW. I don't always need my makeup to last 12+ hours on my face. I think this foundation is worth another try for people who want that flawless base and I love the fact its less expensive than other high-end brands.... Show more
