Mac Studio Fix Sculpt and Shape Contour Palette

I was a little hesitant to purchase this pallet because some of the colors looked so dark and I didn’t want to buy a product unable to use or end up Giving away. I pulled the trigger and bought the pallet just to find out that those dark colors looked intimidating for a fair girl but realized I could work with these colors. With proper application it stays all day without any cake like product. I’m glad I brought this product and gave it a chance.

I prefer powder contour to cream anyway. They are just the right shades for my skin tone. The colors perform really well throughout the day and are easy to blend. I use every color, three colors of highlights and three colors for contour. By the way, I love using this palette as shadow! It’s so natural!

Great for beginners

I wear nude, barely there, make up, so I was looking for a contouring set that would suit me. I decided to try this one and I’m not disappointed. The quality is great. It’s extremely easy to use (important for beginners) and buildable. I love the ultra natural look I get with it.

I made this myself!

Prior to the release of this palette, I made one almost identical to it by buying the empty six palette for blushes and filled it with the Pro products available online in the shape and shade category. I got he Sculpt, Bone Beige, Accentuate, two blushes: Prism and Sincere, and one highlighter that was much lighter than the one in the upper left of this palette. I use it everyday for cheeks and sometimes eyes. I like that his palette has one extra contour in a darker shade for more dramatic contouring of cheeks or eyes, but the highlighters are a bit darker than those with very fair skin need. That's why I love my custom made one. I can also reuse the palette and change out the colors (not easily) by season if needed. But that comment is for the custom made one, the pre-made one may be lighter because it is not refillable. I hope these products are still available individually. Sculpt and taupe have also been available in LE collections, so I have a few of each, and use those for travel, so I always have a great contour powder with me. There are many contouring palettes available now, but MAC was the first to make such quality products available to the public, and I will continue to use them as long as available. I will also get this palette to have the wider range of contour colors, I can always use the darker highlighters on my eyes because they are not shimmery, another bonus when comparing to palettes available from other lines.

Love It

So happy I rolled the dice on this contour kit. I am nearly 50 and finding a good natural look has been a challenge. I have tried all Kinds of foundations, concealers and all, no matter how hard I use my beauty blender, end up looking cakey and like you can see the product. So instead of enhancing me, I just look Makeupy. Not attractive. I Finally found my dream combo. I put the Smashbox primer if I am going out first. Then my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer on my face and neck. Blend in. THEN do my countouring with this pallet. Highlights under the eyes, side of the nose, chin, etc. Darker under my cheekbones, lining my face, And I learned how to nose contour. WOW. Love it but need a refill

This was my first time trying contours. I am hooked! This set has all the necessary shades to create my ultimate look. My only con is the deepest shade I have is depleted & I cannot find a single refill. It is unfortunate I shall have to buy this shade from another company.

Makes contouring easy

This is an absolutely gorgeous palette that makes contouring so easy. I have olive skin and found this palette was perfect for me with flattering shades for my skin tone. There are 3 shimmery tones and 3 matte ones so. Can experiment and mix and match. I love using this palette for highlighting cheekbones and I use the colours also as eyeshadow because they are so beautiful and give a natural look, so this is a great multi purpose palette. At $80.00 it’s good value because it’s extremely high quality, the pigment is gorgeous and it lasts for ages. It’s easy to use and is packaged really classy. This Mac studio fix sculpt and shape contour palette was winner for me. I would absolutely recommend this product

Matte neutral dream product.

It is contour, eyeshadow, highlighter and blush all in one handy package. The texture is creamy yet solid, buildable and a dream to blend for every day use with tons of product to work with (big pans) and endless options. For a matte neutral look this is holy grail. There is plenty of product in each pan and I love and use ALL of the colors. The MAC SA was rocking an amazing look and her coloring is similar to mine. She used this palette to achieve her look and added lipstick, blush and mascara - that's it! She demonstrated it on me and I am still blown away. I am blond and green/hazel eyes with ruddy patches and it is sheer yet covers without being chalky or heavy. I feel like my skin can still breathe and not look "done up". Okay, a bit expensive for what it is

I bought this in the shade "Med/Dark - Dark" mainly for contour. The colours are nice and cool on my South Asian toned skin (Mac nc35 or ABH 355N). I mainly use the bottom left and middle colours for contour. The top right shade is a decent bright colour which can be used as a powder blush, I tend to use cream/liquid blush and tap this on top for extra oomph. I'm not a fan of powder cosmetics due to dry skin, however this feels fine and looks fine on my skin. A tad expensive if you buy this full price. I tend to prefer using the cheaper BPerfect Cosmetics Bronze and Define shape stick, creamy contour, with more precise application.

This is truly an amazing product. I am not really a contour/highlighting person because I am typically turned off by seeing results that look overdone but this product completely changed my opinion. The fact that it's sheer but buildable helps a lot. I watched a few tutorials (Hindash youtube tutorial on "All Matte" is a must-see) and I was really happy how I was able to achieve this enhanced, glowy and sultry look that looks like I'm not wearing any makeup at all. I use every single colour and each one works well on different parts of my face. The top row of lighter shades have the biggest impact when applied with a beauty blender or with your fingers on the eyelids. I also use it on my eyelids and also get zero creasing there. I use the peachy shade for blush and the bottom left shade as a contour. I will only use the two darkest shade on my eyes in the crease or as an eyeliner (with a wet angle brush). Im NC43 for reference. Also, this palette is so sturdy and compact and is perfect for travelling. If you are a light packer this is all you need for face, setting powder, blush, contour and eyeshadow and liner. I would not hesitate to buy this again if I run out.
