Amazing quality laptop made the mistake of purchasing my first one open box and when it arrived it was locked frm the previous userwhich was a nightmare. I decided to exchange it for a brand new rose gold one and im glad i did. Im new to mac so i read up on shortcuts for mac users through youtube and i still lots to learn in terms of shortcuts and what not but im super impressed with the battery life and sound . And the keyboard is beyond comfortable +its backlit which i can appreciate since i struggled writting papers with my previous laptop for that reason. All in all i have no complaints about my laptop i wouldnt call it beginner friendly but if you're willing to readup or at least watch videos about how to use the device its well worth it !

After owning this MacBook for only little over a year; one day the screen just went dark. I charged it up thinking it might have died but that was not the case. No matter how many times I rebooted it the picture would not come on. I knew it was still working because I could still hear it but I just couldn't see anything on the screen. After a year of putting it off to the side I decided to reboot it in hopes that it would come on. It did come on, however, the picture was very faded and after about 30 minutes the screen went dark again. This is a device that was not even used that much to begin with for something like that to happen. Very disappointing.

I’ll start with first I’m not the most tech savvy person, so I won’t be able to give you a review based on specs and all that Jazz. I am an Apple person, and it’s predominantly the reason I got the MacBook. The picture is very grainy, and I’ve seen much clearer quality on other laptops. It’s tough not being a ole to download the same apps as you can for your phone. I already had Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe on my iPad and phone, but apparently it’s a different version for the Mac, which meant that I have to pay for a different packaging for the same service. Also Best Buy/ Apple we’re offering 4months of free iTunes, but the promo code that was given by Best Buy first said 1 month free, then I tried again and it said only 3 months. Customer service for both BB and Apple were awful pinning the blame on each other, and still neither one has resolved this issue for me yet. I gotta say this is basic laptop with a fancy brand label slapped on it. Overall it gets things done, but part of me wish I’d gotten the Samsung laptop instead.

First off, I know this is a used laptop, but I was reading reviews and a psyched about having one from this seller because everyone was saying theirs was basically brand new. Opened the box and the computer had a big dent on the front. Thankfully, the screen works and getting a cover for it camouflaged the dent. I guess that’s just a chance you take buying something used. Overall I am happy with the purchase. Battery life is 88% and all programs/apps/speakers/charger work well.
OK, admittedly, I am not an Apple Fan (for numerous very good reasons but it's a waste of time listing because you can't change a fanboy/girl's mind once they've drank the CoolAid). This was for my daughter, to replace her previous MacBook which, like all Apple products, are designed with planned obsolescence. The totally unexpected aspect (to even her great frustration) is that it has but one USB-C port. Another "genius" design from the folks that took away the headphone jack on their phones and required a separate, unnecessary dongle. Well, here it is again. We had to purchase a separate expensive hub to plug in peripherals and do more than charge at once. It's a crappy design & only reinforces why I would never buy an Apple product. Let me start by saying if you need a case best bet is getting it from bestbuy vs amazon. This laptop is new and even though amazon vendors may SAY their cases fit this model they don’t so buy your case from here as well. I love my computer the color gives rose gold so guys.... note it. But as a female I LOVE IT. It’s very thin.I brought it to practice photo retouching on photoshop. You will HAVE to buy an adapter USbC to usb for this laptop to connect things.I have 13k+ photos and the more extensions I download on photoshop which now I only have 3 .... my pc lags.I probably should have brought one with greater memory but I’ll fix it to a way it doesn’t try to upload all 13k of my pictures. But I love my pc.The Touch ID option is my FAV.
Camera quality sucks; I had someone with a way older version of a Macbook say that my quality is worse than theirs. Catalina update also sucks. iMessage won't ever stay in sync with my phone. Sometimes my screen goes completely black for no reason also! I'm not happy I spent as much money on this computer as I did. I'm a college student so I use this almost every day and it's fine for school work and constant use, although I do see it lagging already and I've only had it four months. Never download anything to it, so it must just be the software. I had a Windows Tablet before this and constantly find myself saying "I miss my tablet."
I have been a long time Apple user and it was time for a new MacBook as I had used my old one for 8 years. I have waited 3 months to give my review to see if my opinion changed. I am in love with my new MacBook it is so well built and just down-right sexy. It is super thin and light weight. The intel Core i is so fast. The graphics on the new MacBook are beyond amazing. I use this for work, school (I am in medical school), and I use it for some gaming. I love the touch ID too it is so much faster than having to type in a code to access your laptop. This was worth every penny. I got a great deal at Best Buy and I also purchased their tech support. So happy with this purchase!
Good Points: New keyboard mechanism is amazing - Its faster, the feedback through the keys makes it great to type. The action also has an excellent sense of precision when used. Just brilliant. Battery length is a big positive too, you just go on using the Mac Air day in day out. Gold colour for me is a lovely addition. Not essential but gives it an excellent sense of value.Improvement Points: As a Supply Teacher the price is a little high. This is my 10th Mac. I've had a 17" MacBook so this 13" screen could be bigger. The 15" MacBook Pro would solve that but the price was unattainable. But the lightness of the Air does compensate. One big problem for me has been logging on to iCloud, which is essential for multi Macs, but having to get the password sorted as the Cloud was forcing me to use an earlier E-mail address that I no longer had the right password to. Its taken me literally a few years to find a way round that. But now I have thankfully. So ecstatic with my MacAir.
Good Points: The Space grey colour, finger print detection to unlock the device, graphics were averageImprovement Points: It says 13.3 inches, but I’ve always had the MacBook Air in the past which also claimed to be 13 inches. The new one is absolutely tiny in comparison and really hurts my wrists. The webcam is shocking, very grainy. Other competitors are doing way better to keep up with consumer needs with touch screens and tablet combinations. Apple really needs to keep up. You are simply paying for the AppleName with this product, and a few cheap gimmicky features. In no world is it worth it.
