I’ve never had studio monitors so I really have nothing to compare too but they perform as I expected. The low frequencies are a bit lower than I would’ve liked but I have to bear in mind that I went the budget route. Besides the bassline output, the speakers perform well and look very nice. The headphones are a great budget alternative as well. They look amazing, In my opinion. Comfortable to wear for long studio sessions. And I also really enjoy the interchangeable earcups. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.👍🏽

I am very happy with these! They are only 3 drivers, so they are not going to stand up to a lot of larger speakers. Make sure you have the right expectations.I have limited space on my desk and I'm right above my neighbor's bedroom, so a subwoofer on the floor is a no-go. These produce quite decent sound with just a bit of mud and boom on the low end. (Put some foam on the wall behind them to help mitigate.) There are 2 inputs which is handy (you can't use both rear inputs at once) and there's no bluetooth which I absolutely don't need on my desktop speakers. At this price, I'm very happy with the sound, build and accessories. The foam isolators that come with are not exactly screaming quality but they are effective and allow you to angle the speakers up. These are great for what they are for: regular ol' editing for your podcast or basic studio. The reason I gave 4 stars is because it took several attempts before my machine would recognize these, i.e. reboots, restarts, turn em on against, etc....BUT, once they recognized they haven't had an issue since. For $99+tax, go for it.

Great clear sound
9 September 2022

These are great speakers. Very flat response with very clean and clear mids and highs and decent bass response for a 3 inch woofer. Highs are very smooth never harsh and Bluetooth works very well with almost no delay. These can be paired with sub for more bass but work great so long as you aren't super worried about the low lows as these have pretty decent range.I would definitely recommend these and the 20$ for the Bluetooth is definitely worth it.Interesting point for the Bluetooth is that it can be run simultaneously with the direct line in so you can run audio from you phone and computer without interruption simultaneously. I thought that was a pretty cool design.

Great product but..
13 July 2022

I bought these monitors because I lost my krk 5s in a flood and saw this as a cheaper alternative. The product worked great I used it to record music and edit vocals. At first it worked perfect & when not recording I used the monitors as a Bluetooth speaker. After a month or so the speaker would turn off if the volume on my phone was mid to mid-high. Until one day I connected the speakers power cord to a different socket and they did not turn on anymore. These speakers are great I'll buy them again for the price it's set, you get your moneys worth. However, be very careful with the volume levels if used on Bluetooth mode or creating a song with heavy bass lines, These monitors can not withstand loud bass lines for extended periods of times and may shut off. Great speakers other than the constant hissing sound
20 November 2022

I just got them today and I noticed they have this annoying hiss sound no matter what input your using (I tried both bluetooth RCA, no luck).Other than that, they're okay. Nothing special. They look pretty decent and sound okay after tinkering with EQ, but the hissing sound is really getting to me.

Solid but not great monitors for small home studio or budget
29 September 2019

I use this product in an amateur home studio setup. I use Studio One as a DAW and have some decent plugins like Serum and IK Multimedia items. The import thing about these speakers is that they are not miracle workers and I wouldn't use them for music to fill a room. They are strictly for medium volume setting and mixing music. If you turn the volume up past 60% you start to hear a little fuzz sound. Its barely noticeable, but it is there. Not completely unexpected but just be aware of it.These speakers actually start to respond in the 40 range not the posted 80, so that was nice to get response at that low of a frequency.Everything from low mid range on up is pretty decent, the lows on this can be a bit muddy but unless you are a professional trying to make a ... MoreI use this product in an amateur home studio setup. These are good little speakers
4 January 2021

These speakers are worth the low price. I wouldn't call them reference speakers, a little heavy on the low end. Of course people's ears can lean to mix on anything but they are not flat. They are great for listening to music, shielded well. A good thing is they've lasted longer (power amp) than my Tannoy powered speakers of a similar price range. They are all purpose really, I loved them listening to youtube mixes but webinars and such it was hard to hear speaker articulation sometimes because of the bass boost of the speaker. Loaned them to my roommate, she loves them, cranks up her songs. I got out some cheapo berringers MS16s for the webinars but they are not as good as these speakers overall...Trying to give people a perspective here. They're okay, but taking mine back
15 June 2023

I'm moving so I had to pack away all my good studio equipment. Temporarily, I put together a small setup with my Yamaha digital piano running through a MOTU M2 to my laptop and these studio monitors. Somewhere in the line I picked up a hum I hadn't experienced before. I swapped out the audio interface for a MOTU M4, but it didn't clear up. Finally I bought an M-Audio air 192/14 and that cleared it all up. I'm keeping the M-Audio audio interface, but since I'm not totally in love with the CR3 monitors, I bought a pair of M-Audio BX-3s. I tend to like to pair up matching equipment where possible. Anyway, the CR3s aren't bad. They're just not great enough to keep. Your results may vary.

“ Maayo Paminawon” Great sound
5 June 2022

I was really surprised when I heard the Mackie CR3-XBT. I felt like the singer is singing just right in front of me. The acoustic guitar picking is like live. It was so amazing. The inspiration was awakened and at that moment I wanted to record my own song but it was already late evening. I just could’nt believe that the small studio speaker will make a huge sound just enough in the room for any multimedia editing and music production. It’s unbelievable, aside from the fact that it is affordable. As a newbie in Music production I know I will sound as pro with mackie cr3 xbt. Thanks for this opportunity to be able to start my dream home studio.
