Excellent soft shell. It actually looks quite smart, but still gives good rain and wind protection from those sudden downpours. Would not be great for hiking or proper rain, but excellent for being out and about.

Was looking for a plain black jacket to replace a much-loved older, black Macpac softshell which took me effortlessly from the rugby fields to the streets and on to decent restaurants in the evening, when away skiing overseas. I like having the hood on this model. It's good & roomy but it does make it look more casual. The sleeves (even for a slim person) are quite firm & could do with more room. The upper body also isn't roomy - it fits OK with just a shirt underneath or a fine merino, but the next size up was too large. However, the length of both sleeves and body is good. The shaping from the waist down makes it too large over the hips if you don't have particularly shapely ones. Love this jacket super warm for what I need and keeps my dry.I brought this jacket to goto Scotland in October so hopefully stands up to their weather conditions.Definitely size up if you a little curvier in the hips. Plus side they have the zipper that comes up from the bottom of the jacket.

I bought a puffer jacket 2 years ago but hardly wore it because it looked too bulky on and i think is a younger persons style.Saw the Mac Pac chord jacket, nice looking and more my style.Read the reviews which were encouraging too...so I decided to buy the S. 18. Well it was the only large size available; lucky cause it fits well with a long sleeve underneath.My only beef is that a darker color would be better for me; although the grey is very clean looking. This jacket can be dressed up and i wear it to the gym. Great all rounder. I want one in black...my colleagues are envious.

I have only had this lovely black jacket for two weeks but I have worn it every single day, every time I go out.I’ve worn it hiking in the mountains, walking in the city, through rainstorms and early morning walks over the Harbour Bridge. It’s so flattering and versatile, and looks great with jeans, active wear, skirts and dresses. I even wore it out tonight when walking to a nice restaurant.It’s perfect for layering. I bought a size 12 and I’m able to wear 2 thin layers underneath and stay nice and warm.It is as it says, water repellant. It did let a bit of water in during heavy rain, but I stayed warm and the jacket dried quickly.I would highly recommend this jacket, especially if you can get it in the sales.

I'm hardly ever a 12, and the 10 fit fine, but I prefer the way the 12 looks - the jacket has a slightly defined waist and the larger size fits a bit more like a short coat than a jacket, which I like. Plus I can wear it with a jumper underneath without feeling squashed in.I got the black - I don't normally go for black as I prefer something with a bit of colour, but the only other option was light grey. However when Melbourne decided to rain a lot this winter I wanted a stylish jacket that doubles up as a warm light rain coat for work in CBD the reviews I read about this caught my eye.I purchased the black one but it's a beautiful deep charcoal colour which looks very sophisticated. The jacket had absolutely no room to stretch so I'm glad I went up a size from 14 which is what normally wear. Size 16 was perfect fit and very comfortable to have a jumper on underneath and it didn't look over sized because the waist line design. I wore it straight away at work and walked in the rain for 30 minutes and it kept me dry. The wet jacket was quick to dry off too. Love this coat. Perfect for Melbourne’s changeable weather. It is quite fitted. I am a regular size 10 and bought size 10 in this coat - I can comfortably wear a long sleeve t-shirt or very light jumper under it, but it would be a very tight fit with a heavier jumper underneath. However it’s so warm and wind proof that I haven’t needed anything thicker anyway.
This is an excellent jacket! It is super comfortable and most importantly functional. It does everything that is says it will. I've stayed warm and dry in all the rain we've been having on the east coast.The surprising bonus is that it isn't bulky at all. When the package arrived I wondered what was in it, as it wasn't big, heavy or bulky.I went up a size - personal preference.The slightly longer length is brilliant and the cut/shape is lovely. Have already had loads of compliments on it, especially the colour, 'black olive'. I am super stoked snagging this while on sale!
