Macpac Men's Dispatch Rain Jacket Black 2XL @ Club BCF

We both love our recently purchased Macpacs’ rain jackets. I have been out in the rain a lot lately, walked for half an hour at least and have remained dry. Water just forms beads on the outside of the fabric. Perfect

A good buy

Very light and comfortable. Kept me dry during moderate rain with strong winds. I have used it bush walking and walking the dog and I haven't sweated in it so it seems to breathe ok. Recommended.

Good all rounder jacket

All round jacket which is handy in light rain and cooler temperatures. Fit is good and quality overall commensurate with the price paid. Care as pockets do get wet in heavier persistent rain.

Good rain proof jacket for the price point. I've been using it for biking to/from work. Only gripe was with the sleeve length. I am a tall/lean person and had to exchange the large for an XL. This gave the the length I needed in the arms, however the XL size is very baggy and loose. I recommend the jacket, however I also recommend trying it on in store, as it may not suit your body type.

Good rain jacket so far

This rain jacket looks & feels good quality. Bought 'S' size which was smallest available & a little large for me but allows me to wear warm clothing underneath. So far have only used it in light rain but it kept me dry. At this stage I can certainly recommend for light rain.

Great for all seasons: cycling, walking & everyday. Brilliant colour for safety. Quality coat!

Waterproof medium weight jacket which breathes well. Excellent construction and finish - thoughtful hood adjustment at rear. Bright orange great for visibility as a cyclist. Longish fit with scoop at back sheds rain. All this at sale price - Macpac you've ticked all the boxes (an inner chest height additional zip pocket for phone is all I would suggest.)Greying bikker

Great raincoat for out and about!

Very good lightweight rain jacket, fits well and good windbreaker too. I got the tan coloured one and love it! This jacket will not provide warmth, just wind and rain blocking. Would not recommend for going up in the hills on extended walks, but a great day jacket for around town or out and about for the day when it's too windy or inconvenient for an umbrella.

Not good enough.

Quite disappointing. Not waterproof. Wish I had bought a Gore Tex jacket from another brand. I've got a hiking backpack from Macpac - 20 years of hard use and its fully operational. Awesome. But the clothing in my experience is of much poorer quality.First decent rain shower and I was damp - the water appeared to soak through the material. Holds up in super light rain but simply not good enough for a rain jacket.

Not waterproof

I bought this jacket a few months ago as I work outdoors and was in need of a jacket to keep me dry all day, I had this jacket on for about 5 minutes in very light rain and it had fully leaked through and my back was soaking wet. Not happy

waterproof is very short term

A well-designed lightweight jacket that is good for travelling. I liked it but the waterproofing started to deteriorate within 3 years of low to moderate use and now leaks like a sieve.
