Whilst I don’t go to Antarctica or anywhere remotely close to epic snow storm like conditions, I’m based in Victoria where the weather is miserable during winter and this makes the grade.Sits it fit? Yes. It’s true to size for what I’d expect from an adult beanie. It’s also the perfect length. It covers enough of the ears for me to never feel like I’m missing part of a beanie.Hidden features: covers my bad haircut when I am too lazy to brush my hair before leaving the house

This has become my new all time favourite beanie. Great fit, great thickness. I definitely prefer the style, fit and thickness over the other thinner one that I bought at the same time.

'Nice' standard beanie.

This is a lovely beanie... it's a thin merino. Personally I think that the Macpac Tawa Beanie is a winner, over this one. They are both lovely, but this one is a little ho hum in comparison. I hope Macpac continues to make the Thicker Tawa style as an ongoing standard. Both these mentioned beanies are winners.

Best little beanie around! Wear it at work under hardhat as it's thin, light and super warm! So good I have four of them! Also being Merino it doesn't get smelly...bonus!

Light, warm, soft, perfect

Love this hat so much i went back and bought another 3 for each child! Soft, light, warm, perfect! I've had mine for a few years already, then just bought the kids some. So lasts really well.

Merino 150 Beanie

Nice and lightweight, yet insulating. Thin, not bulky. Perfect for frosty mornings under a bike helmet or extra warmth in a sleeping bag at night

My husband loves these beanies. Warm, with two layers of merino, and lightweight. Easy to stuff in a pocket when day warms up. Stretchy for large heads. Keep making these Macpac.

Not very durable

I had this hat for a couple of multiday trips. It developed a hole despite not having anything sharp in the pack.It seemed like a great weight and generous coverage of ears and to the top of the neck; nothing worse than a short hat IMHO.

Winter essential

Quickly a favourite winter accessory. Loved it so much have bought a second one. Light but warm. Easy to have in my bag when I’m on the go and coming home at night when you need that extra layer.

keeps the ears warm

It certainly keeps my head toasty. Love that the beanie covers my ears as well. It can easily scrunch into a pocket when not using it. I originally bought the hot pink beanie and loved it so much I bought another one in the pale grey.
