No matter the weather, I’ve always been a heavy sweater. I wore this top for two days recently in mild weather and sweated up a storm, but it did a stellar job of wicking it away and I didn’t once feel damp or cold, even with windchill. The hood doesn’t get in the way of a pack and comes in handy instead of digging out a beanie for a cold saddle in the wind, or even as short term sun protection when the track temporarily exits tree cover. I’ve never liked long sleeves on anything but on this I actually really appreciate them for sun protection, as it doesn’t feel any hotter than a T-shirt. Very happy with this purchase!

I don't normally write reviews but this fleece top is truly amazing. It is very soft and lightweight. It can be very useful in winter time as a base layer and a mid layer in summer time. The hood is very tight so has very good heat retention (won't fit a helmet if that's what you need).The only thing I don't like is the chest pocket. It has double sided zipper which serves no function - I thought the garment can be stored in that pocket but no it won't fit. While the chest pocket can store smaller items like keys, airpod, napkins, I'd rather not having it to save some weight.

This was a birthday gift for my partner. He loved it, just what he wanted for breathable layering on winter hunting missions. Unfortunately, it only lasted one hunt and he came home with two holes. Not really when I expected for something that retails at $169.99. Have emailed to request return or refund. Hopefully we hear back soon.

Outstanding top — it's light (I measured my medium sized one at 230 grams), very comfortable (stretchy so it fits well), has good length in the arms, the collar zips up to my nose so with the hood up it's almost like a balaclava, and it does an excellent job of resisting getting stinky. It's not windproof but works extremely well if worn under a light windshirt. Being stretchy, wearing it over a merino baselayer requires a bit of adjusting to get the two layers working well together, but that's hardly difficult. I agree with some other reviewers that the little pocket is superfluous but some people might find a use for it (e.g. a compass?). Probably the best thermal top I own, I'm going to buy a few more as I tend to use the one I have over other similar tops. This is my go-to top to wear over a shirt when climbing, hiking, running or mountain biking. Super warm for low weight and packing size. It breathes really well.Fantastic for running when its cold, great for Mountain biking and climbing too. The hood is fantastic and zips right up high to work as a balaclava if you need. Has thumb loops and fits well. Great active warm top.
This Polartech Prothermal fabric is the best warmth to weight ratio I've ever experienced in a thermal!Its provides immediate warmth as soon as you put it on. Very soft, stretchy and forgiving fabric so the tailored form of this garment will easily form-fit to anyone with out hindering movement. The hood when fully zipped up is like a snug balaclava and neck gaiter in integrated into a long sleeve thermal. This proved to be the ideal base layer for snow hiking.As a thermal, it does not block wind, so will always need a windproof layer over the top perform at its best.Really awesome product, I look forward to getting more of these.I strongly recommend this for light weight breathable warmth.

I have owned this for 2 years now and I am still totally amazed how good this top is. Shockingly warm and supremely soft, comfortable and lightweight. I am very rough on my gear and this garment has withstood it all. The hood is amazing and wraps your face up to your nose and is great against cold winds. I just ordered 2 more... just because. HIGHLY RECCOMEND.
Love these!!! I own four. Two green for bush stealth. Thrashed them all over the world. Great weight, light, breathable, stretch. Cut is great; gusset under arms so no pinching, sleeve and back length great, half zip to dump heat, proper thumb loops, and a great scuba hoop fits so good. I can wear MED or SM depending on my weight flux when highly active. Im 5'8" athletic build 69-73kg. Will get more...Would love to see some in natural colors, thats why I grabbed two green when I saw them :) Be great to get a heavier weight version of this...waiting for the Ion full zip hoody cut adjustment esp on their hoody to take up the challenge :)
So much to like about this top. I have the men’s version for the extra length. Used it for 7 day hike at Wilsons Prom in Feb. with some challenging weather, found it to be warm mid/outer layer. Sleep, hike, camp, good temperature control neck zip high to chin no need for buff. Comfy hood has enough stretch for sleeping in. Warmth for weight bonus. Has a purpose for all conditions,as base, mid, or outer.
