Eggalicious. I was very happy to get this sample as I have had the 300g canton and did mention I’d love them to come in a dozen pack. ‘Clucky, plucky’ ♥️ . Well I was DELIGHTED to receive this sample (Thank you Bunch!) So much so that I absolutely could not wait to egg statically eat them!! Woolies obviously treated them as a ‘lesser’ sold item as they were on the very top shelf in the fridge section so was not easy to see. Also, I noticed that where there were few other brands left for sale, there was a FULL box of these cartons with me being the first to take one! No surprise given that they were $10 for just 600gm eggs. Don’t get me wrong - I have no problem paying more for my eggs but you would question if they were worth the extra money given the (normally) huge variety of excellent quality eggs usually sold in Woolies Anyway back to the tasting …. I decided to make a quick omelette with home ... More‘Clucky, plucky’ ♥️ . Well I was DELIGHTED to receive this sample (Thank you Bunch!) I added a little splash of extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper into a little fry pan and a few cherry tomatoes then lastly an egg - I do have to admit that this egg was delicious…. But would I pay $10 for eggs laid by these ‘Clucky, Plucky’ hens … only time will tell! Thank you so much Bunch for giving me this opportunity and ‘food for thought’ ☺️

Yummy googies. A sample I was pleased to be given as we go through a lot of eggs. I poached two and ate them with some pan fried halloumi, pan fried mini tomatoes, homemade rosti and homemade zucchini pickles. Oh yum. Apart from the price there is a lot to love. Uniform in size, beautifully coloured yolks, thick shells, only 1500 chickens per hectare. The graphics on the egg carton are fresh and inviting. The best before date was a month from when I picked them up. I am still not sold on the 'free-range is best. ' There are advantages and disadvantages to any system. I have friend who sell eggs from free range chickens (protected by dogs) and the chickens are subject to changing weather conditions and predators. More farm workers are needed to look after a commercial free range flock - hence the increased price, less workers are needed for barn raised chickens. The manure from barn raised chickens is easily collected to be used for natural fertiliser. I am spoiled in that friends and family usually give me eggs that produce amazing eggs. If I have to buy some, then I usually buy them from a local producer which are cheaper than this option. So I don't think I will be buying this product again.

Good quality eggs with low stocking rate per hectare. These were easy to find in store with the other eggs. We always buy free-range eggs and only those with a low stocking rate per hectare, for the quality of life it gives the hens. I was pleased to see these eggs have a low rate of 1500 birds per hectare, same as our usual brand. Otherwise, these were eggs. The yolks had a rich yellow colour, the shells were easy to crack but not soft, and there were no cracked eggs in the carton. We served these with ham for breakfast, made omelettes with cheese, had poached eggs on toast with smoked salmon, and even had some hard boiled in salad. At $9. 80 for a dozen these were quite a bit more expensive than my usual free range brand at $6. 95. I don't think I could justify ... MoreGood quality eggs with low stocking rate per hectare. The egg carton is recyclable, and these are Australian eggs. I don't think these will be a re-buy for us, simply due to the price, but they are definitely a quality product.

Golden Eggs. I have never had the pleasure of tasting Macro Organic Australian Free Range Eggs until this sample. I always purchase 700 - 800g free range eggs but have never purchased organic before purely because of the cost @$9. 80 for 600g dozen eggs. I used some for a creamy pasta carbonara sauce and the colour of the egg yolks were so vibrant and golden even compared to my usual free range eggs. The QR code on the carton reveals the whole story from the Macro Wholefoods Market with recipes, interesting facts and cooking tips for all the macro grass fed beef and free range poultry range. Best eggs. I was lucky enough to receive this product to review. The eggs were nice and fresh as I got them today and the best before date is the 13th January next year. Organic products are very desirable and mostly it is the price that stops a lot of people from buying them. The size of these eggs is a minimum of 600 grams and they sell for $9. 80. Right now a lot of customers are shopping to a strict budget and could not afford this product. I normally buy the Woolworths free range 700 grams eggs and am very satisfied with them. I used the organic eggs tonight and while they tasted delicious so do the free range ones. I really couldn't taste any difference. Then I made scrambled eggs using the organic ones and served the eggs on top of the potato and ham. It was a quick and tasty meal.

Good eggs, but expensive. I usually buy x-large eggs so was surprised that these were still a good size. They had lovely firm shells and bright orange yolks. As we're used to home laid eggs, my boys asked why the yolks were this colour as ours are always yellow. They didn't have the fishy taste that some "omega 3" eggs do and were fresh. But.... I must say as someone else has also commented - I can't taste much difference between my eggs and these. I also don't subscribe to organic products, so the organic tag doesn't induce me to purchase again. I found the price tag quite high, although like the low number of chooks per hectare - and I guess this factors into the cost. I am not against them, I just think there are others of similar quality that are not organic and that are larger for a cheaper price tag. This does not reflect the quality of these eggs though, which is why I have still given them 4/5 stars.

Eggstreme & Eggstra Quality. Was eggstatic to receive these macro organic eggs as a sample as enjoy the variety of options you have when your cooking a meal or even craving for a quick snack of boiling a couple. Collected them with no worries and plenty in stock but not surprised as they are a bit expensive at around $10 dozen and only 600g which is only medium size. Probably being organic too, does put extra on the cost. We decided to have them one morning on our English muffins as we decided on a light breakfast as we had been invited to a smorgasbord dinner later on. They were quality as easy break rich yellow yolk and as we poached them they looked sensational and it was a thick white outer layer not thin and runny like cheaper eggs. Sensational taste being full of flavour though we did add a bit of seasoning and chives, texture was light and airy and overall these chooks that lay them were definitely looked after as the quality is definitely evident. Overall I would consider buying these again but not as regularly as I buy normal eggs as the price is a bit rich. As we all know most of the time eggs are also used with baking and a added ingredient to some pastries and other varieties of meals where the eggs are hidden. Therefore why pay a fortune for a regular cooking ingredient and taste not so evident I’ll let you be the judge if this makes sense.. Thanks Bunchteam for the opportunity of trying something new and delighted to give this sample 4 stars.

Fresh eggs are great. I bought these eggs after I couldn’t find them in any of my stores during the sample timeframe. Happy to pay the higher cost to compare them with local farm fresh eggs that I collected within an hour of being laid. Poached eggs are a favourite here and the Macro Organic eggs didn’t disappoint. I poached 2 lots of eggs, one pan from the farm and one for the Macro organic ones. The Verdict: both lots of eggs were fresh, the shells were thick, and cracked without splintering, the chalaza was thick and white in all. The yolks were bright yellow. Plated the farm egg on the left and Macro egg on the right (in the photo), both on toast with mushroom and baby spinach. I buy fresh from local producers as a preference however the Macro eggs are certainly an excellent choice from the supermarket.

Lucky, clucky, plucky hens! We were really happy to receive this sample of organic eggs. We’re not big egg eaters but always have some in the fridge in case we feel like a boiled egg. The label on the carton gives you a good feeling about the hens that produced the eggs. The eggs inside look pretty standard. When boiled, they had a good colour and flavour. At $10 for 600g (12 eggs), that’s what you’d expect to pay for organic – over twice the price of cage eggs and over 50% more than free range. A maximum of 1500 hens per hectare gives each hen about 6. 6 square meters - lucky hens compared to cage and also free range (which allows 10000 hens per hectare). They feed in organic paddocks and antibiotics are not generally allowed. With all those requirements compared ... MoreLucky, clucky, plucky hens! These organic eggs are the same price as the ones from the other supermarket (which has less cheerful packaging) and cheaper than many independent brands. So if you’re looking for organic eggs, give the clucky, plucky hens a go (they sound like characters out of the movie Chicken Run)!
