I really wanted to love this product especially as it was a bit of an investment to buy. The main issue is how overwhelmingly sweet and chemical it is. The recommended dose is 2 scoops in 500-750ml water giving 12g protein. This was way too sweet - I just couldnāt drink it. I did one scoop in 750ml but still found it unpalatable and sweet (I normally have a huge sweet tooth) and with only 2g of protein in each 250ml glass it was a lot of volume to consume for not much extra protein. To get through 1.5l of fluid I didnāt enjoy the taste of to get 12g of extra protein wasnāt worth it. Logistically cheaper and easier to have something like a hard boiled egg. Love the idea but itās just not great. Also the company that makes it sent a bunch of unsolicited emails. I bought this product under the assumption it would essentially be a flavoured water, this is not the reality of the product. While the nutritional benefits of this drink are evident, the reality of using it was disappointing. First off the smell was incredibly off putting, then the viscous texture was hard to wrap my tongue around. It's like drinking thick water that tastes overly sweet, almost to cover the smell. I'm sure there's a practical use for this other than drinking, but this defeats the convenience of a "protein water". I cannot recommend this product to anyone wanting a simple solution when a protein shake seems too much to consume.

I don't like the smell of the product, it smells a little off (not sure how else to describe without being graphic), and there is an overly sweet aftertaste. I will use it because I have bought it. I have to use a small whisk, whisking fairly vigorously to combine the product with a glass of water, otherwise it is lumpy and does not mix easily (shaking in a jar or simply using a spoon does not resolve the lumps) I was hoping for a light drink to add protein to my daily intake without having a heavier protein shake. It's drinkable but not pleasant (although taste is subjective) and I personally probably wouldn't purchase this particular product again, sorry.
Was so excited for this product, but when it came, it had such a funky aftertaste and smell. It literally tastes like it is moldy. It looks beautiful mixed in, but the flavour is absolutely disgusting. Which is a shame because the texture is perfect and does not clump at all.
Taste isnāt the best, quite chemical tasting, almost medicine like. Defiantly not something I want to drink. Iāve tried other protein waters that are much higher in protein and taste way better. Perhaps the two scoops recommendation is too much.
Youāll probably love it if you have a sweet tooth! Tried this but found it way too sweet. Watering it down to level I needed it at to suit my palate made the protein benefit negligible. A shame because I really love pretty much everything else you guys do!
I had high hopes since the products are dubbed as the best tasting vegan protein products. I ordered some almond protein powder and protein water. Texture wise itās alright. But everything is so overly sweetened itās disgusting, to the point itās barely edible. Even after diluting with double than recommended liquid, the sweetener taste is still way too strong. Not sure what Iām gonna do with the rest of it.
I REALLY wanted to love this because I love all the other macro mike protein powders that I've tried so far and o don't always want a 'thick' and filling protein drink. Unfortunately I find this sickly sweet with a strong Stevia aftertaste. Will be giving this away and won't be purchasing again.
Super impressed with the protein water! Was unsure about trying it but tastes great- this is my second purchase of apple blackcurrant. On sweeter side but can always dilute more. Mixes easy and a nice change from creamy proteins. Especially perfect in summer with icy cold water! Thanks for awesome vegan options macro mike!
