Little one liked. This was easy to find. My 8mo has done a mixture of purées and BLW and it took several attempts for him to even try swallow. I’m not sure if it’s because we hadn’t done a lot a sweet purées with him. The pouch was a good size to spread over several meals and I offered it to him initially at room temp and subsequently from the fridge. It turned a bit greyish after being in the fridge and has no nasties but is made from 21% Australian ingredients. Convenient size to have on the go or for those busy work mornings.

Convenient and healthy. This is a great option that offers all the goodies from fruit you want to feed your bub. The consistency of the purée is perfect, packaging states 6 month suitable and also has heating directions on the back if you wish to heat. We give this to bub mixed with vita brits for brekky and bub loves it There’s no added sugar or salt and it is ACO certified organic. It’s packed in Australia from imported ingredients hence the one star off, I always think we can support Aussie farmers more. Soooo convenient with little ones. Love these little packs. Have been buying them for many years due to busy life and having kids. They are super convenient when you haven’t got any time or any leftover prepared meals. I have a little spoon that easily attaches to the end nozzle to help feeding younger ones without hurting their little mouth. The bigger kids just use the end as a straw. The kids love this flavour, I haven’t had any complaints and will continue to have them in the cupboard when I need. Easy to find on the shelf as they stand out against the rest.

Unfortunately the flavour wasn't to her liking as I think she found the blueberry flavour a bit strong (she generally prefers yellow fruits). After she rejected the pouch I thought I'd better give it a go, and the flavour is actually quite nice. There's no sugar added so it's a little on the tart side, but the natural sweetness of the fruit still shines through. The texture is what you'd expect of a fruit pouch made for infants - mush - so no complaints there. I was a little disappointed to see there were no Australian ingredients, but the product is still packed here which is something. So wasteful and full of sugars - 3 teaspoons worth! So, the worst problem here is that 73% of this puree is made up of fruit sugars - pureed apple and banana. 11. 9g of sugar, that's around 3 teaspoons! Natural sugars are still sugars, fructose in it's refined form is really no better than sucrose. Also, be aware that it has cornflour as a thickener. The packaging is shockingly wasteful, I can't think of any reason why you would give your child this over any other of the many food choices available. I did taste it and yes, it was basically just sweet. Hard pass. Made in Australia, but really shouldn't be made anywhere, ever again.
Reviewed by kiddo - 5 stars! I like using these pouches for my 3yo after swimming as I don't need to refrigerate them and they are quite nutritious. He was very excited to review this one for me. His verdict - yummy! It tastes a tiny bit "lumpy" but he really liked the texture. The apple flavour was "very strong" but it wasn't "too sweet". He said he liked the colours on the pouch and also that he could squeeze all of the contents out very easily. 5 stars from this kiddo and 5 stars from mum for ease, nutritional value and quantity. Bonus for organic!
Yummy, Convenient & Great Flavour Combination. We all tried a sample on a spoon and it was agreed that the flavour combination was good, and different to other flavours we had seen on the shelf. I really liked the natural ingredients and lack of unnecessary additives. I also really liked the addition of muesli to bulk the puree out a bit and provide some additional fibre to fill little tummies a bit better than straight pureed fruit. $1. 60 per pouch (120g) is not as expensive as other brands, but I'd only buy it on special and/or I needed them for the convenience of travel. I would be keen to try other flavours in the Macro brand, as they do provide some interesting flavour combinations other brands don't.
