Macro Organic Diced Tomatoes No Added Salt 400g

Juicy Plump Tomatoes. I use this product every now and then and it is always of high quality and full of tomatoes. I use these for any tomato base dish and find the tomatoes are always nice and red surrounded by a thick tomato juice/sauce. They are juicy and full of flavourMade in Italy which is okay as they are know for their tomatoes but I still like to buy Australian too. We used this sample for our nacho sauce and stewed some rump stake in the sauce, ended up with a rich tomato flavour. The tomatoes were all small pieces and no need for any addition chopping. I think they are a reasonable price and an extra bonus they are organic. I personally highly recommended this product and we already purchase this product, a staple in our pantry. Not Twice As Good as Essentials Tomatoes. It was very interesting to get this sample as I often use the Essentials Diced Tomatoes that are only 60 cents but don't say 'No Added Salt' like these. However these tomatoes contain MORE salt than the Essentials, almost twice as much sodium and yet say 'No Added Salt' On the left is the macro organic 'NAS' containing 18mg sodium per 200mg while on the right is the Essentials containing 10mg per 200mg: My husband thinks it could be different species of tomatoes I don't know but it seems strange to me. It seems misleading to put 'NAS' on one and charge about double the price while leaving the cheaper one with almost half the sodium levels without any 'NAS' banner. The measure I use is if something isn't doubly good then it's not worth double the price and these tomatoes aren't twice as good as the Essentials so I won't be buying this tin but I appreciate the opportunity to try them. Thank you @bunchteam I liked the ring pull tin and the tomatoes looked better than the Essentials however they didn't taste any better and they had just as much skin in them. I'd prefer if the skins were removed then I might be prepared to pay twice the price if the salt was reduced to the same level as the Essentials tomatoes. Lovely tasty tomatoes. I pretty much always go for the Woolies brand tinned tomatoes when I need them because I find them just as good as name brands. To be honest I am not convinced by the whole "organic" thing with any foods. I buy something because it tastes good, does what I need it to do and the price is right. As it turns out I had 2 different Bunch items to purchase and review - the other being Pinto Beans. So what's a girl to do? Well first I had to google to find out exactly what Pinto Beans are used for (even though I had a pretty good idea but wanted to be sure). So yeah they can go in recipes for things like nachos. Which they should be - they are tomatoes! Only 2 ingredients - tomatoes and tomato juice. They are made in Italy - would be nice to have used Australian tomatoes. The can and lid are both recyclable. I would recommend this product and definitely buy again.

Rich and delicous. These tinned tomatoes are so rich, sweet and flavoursome, I love that they are organic. the only negative is they are not Australian tomatoes, being a product of Italy. They are a no added salt product, which is great and means that you can salt to your taste. A good price of $1. 20 per 400g can, makes this a good pantry stable. Tinned tomatoes have multiple uses which include bolognaise sauces, good old homemade lasagna, casseroles and so many vegetarian dishes. I love to buy Australian grown tomatoes but Ardmona seems to be the only brand in Woolworth's that is not grown in Italy. Unfortunately they do not have an organic product available. I love the colour on this container the Diced Italian Tomatoes (writing) is a deep red colour and so is the picture of tomatoes on the label. They both represent what I found inside. Vibrant deep red tomato juice and tomato pieces. The can was easy to open via the pull ring. I tried some juice and tomato out of the can and it was really rich in flavour, delicious, thick and fresh. I'm using in my slow cooker with vegetables, chuck steak and my new favourite brand of jars for slow cooking sauces by Beerenberg (SA company) jars normally found at IGA. Good pantry item. I always have a tin of tomatoes in the pantry. I buy a lot of Macro products-as a lot of the products are organic. Easy to open 400g peeled whole tomatoes in juice with a ring pull tin. I noticed inside the tin that it wasn’t plastic lined, which was good. I normally buy BPA free tinned products. No added salt, with a 4. 5 star rating, with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. The product contained whole organic tomatoes and juice, which was great to see, but I have to agree with other reviewers about a non Australian product. I added the tomatoes to a butter chicken curry, and taste wise they were good, but did lack flavour. Priced at $1. 20- I wouldn’t buy again. The Woolworths Australian peeled tomatoes are cheaper.

I found a few more tomato skins than I would usually find but that was ok. Also it's great that there is no salt added and you can regulate the amount but the tomatoes could have been sweeter. You would think that been organic that they would be sweeter but added a little sugar and that did the trick. They are Made in Italy. Contains only organic tomatoes and organic tomato juice which is great. Also has a health star rating of 4. 5 which is fantastic.
