Mild & tasty coffee. My husband is my guest reviewer for this product because he took the beans to use in the coffee machine at his work. He described the beans as mild flavoured & quite enjoyable for a supermarket brand of coffee bean. He usually enjoys a stronger coffee but seemed satisfied with the coffees he made. It is great to see the Macro coffee beans are organic, fairtrade & carbon neutral plus they are well priced compared to those bought from a coffee roaster. It would be preferable if the beans had a roasted on date instead of a use by date to ensure freshness but you get what you pay for.

Well intentioned but lacking. All credit for being organic and fairtrade but sadly lacking in flavour. I generally drink a number 5 bean at home or a real coffee at a coffee shop so a 3 was always going to be a little lacking in flavour for me. I have a piccolo every morning (in bed) before I start the day so I did exactly the same with this coffee to make it a fair comparison to what I normally drinkThis bean produced a mild soft coffee with a fruity berry taste at the start which came to a sour end. After that every mouthful just perpetuated the sour taste. People who read my reviews now that I am particular about almost everything, spelling, grammar, naming conventions, eggs, coffee, ready meals chicken labelling and the list goes on. I like what I like and I ... MoreWell intentioned but lacking. All credit for being organic and fairtrade but sadly lacking in flavour. Mild flavoured coffee. The organic fairtrade and climate neutral coffee beans grind down very well to make a delicious mild flavoured flat white. I enjoyed the gentle milder flavour with notes of vanilla. No sugar required to remove the bitterness like other coffees. I enjoyed the whole bag of beans! I would definitely buy this one again!!

Coffee âď¸ isnât a drink, itâs a cup of sanity. âď¸. These macro organic coffee beans are very mild in taste, and lack flavour. Hubby is a true coffee snob, and didnât enjoy this coffee sample at all. I do like to buy coffee beans, and freshly grind when needed, rather than buying already ground coffee beans. This was medium roast 3, too mild for him. The tasting notes say smooth & sweet with tones of milk chocolate and vanilla. Hubby claims he couldnât smell or taste that. Will pass the rest of the bag to my sister, who would probably like this mild coffee. âď¸$6 for 200g certified organic coffee beans. % organic fair trade climate neutral roasted arabica coffee beans. Just ok did not taste like a fresh brewed coffee should. Great packaging, current and easy to read. Certified organic stood out and was a bonus. Everything that the product wanted the consumer to know stood out perfectly. Was looking forward to trying this especially since it had tones of milk chocolate and vanilla. The beans had a mild pleasant smell, however was lacking the usual hit of fresh coffee when you open a packet of coffee beans. Coffee itself was extremely weak and could not get a hint of chocolate and struggling to taste any vanilla. Also it had a slightly bitter aftertaste which a good coffee should not have. It was very weak and did not have "body" to it. It was very weak and did not have "body" to it. A medium roast coffee should still have some depth to it, however this coffee did not, it was super watery. Even when adding more beans it lacked flavor and depth. Medium roasted coffee should taste like a nice coffee but this tasted cheap and as if the coffee beans themselves had been left lying around for a while before packaging. The best before date as 4/11/22, however it tasted as if its shelf life was coming to an end, rather then still a year to go. Even though we did not like the flavor, it was the actual beans themselves that did not have that great coffee smell nor taste that fresh beans have. Points for being made in New Zealand.
Ok coffee. Found easily in coffee section. Packaging Looks appealing, and covered with lots of positive 'stamps'Certified organicFair tradeClimate neutralACO certified organic100% Arabica Its listed as 3 Medium Roast. I personally found it ok. Medium indeed. Taste was ok. We found a lot of husks in our packet, something we have not found in other brands of coffee beans. Made in New Zealand, from Peruvian Green coffee beans. Overall ok. May buy again.
Very weak. So disappointing. Oh dear I usually love my Bunch samples but thereâs been a few in a row I havenât enjoyed. I had been hoping to get a good coffee sample and was excited to try this. I usually only buy organic coffee beans to grind for my plunger (but usually buy much bigger packet) so thought this would be great. Unfortunately, the blend was very weak. I thought Iâd forgotten a spoon on first try it was so weak. I had to put in a third extra but it still didnât have much of a flavour. So disappointing. I love that it is organic and maybe if you enjoy a weak coffee these beans are for you.
Disappointed. Self confessed coffee snob here. I bought a bag whilst travelling based on the fair trade and organic description, as I was looking for something small and affordable. Worst tasting coffee I can recall. Managed to be both too bitter and too sour. Perhaps the beans were very, very old in reality, but they were within the use-by on the packet. Wouldn't try again.
Fresh and Organic Coffee Beans. These organic coffee beans are fresh, full bodied and great to have for that perfect cup of coffee. I normally buy ground coffee, now and then I also buy coffee beans to ground myself. There is a big difference when you ground the coffee beans fresh and doesn't those it flavour and potency. I always prepare my coffee in a percolator (caffettiera) and find it better than other ways of preparing brewed coffee. Made in new Zealand and contains 100% Organic Fairtrade Roasted Arabica Coffee Beans. I like buying medium roast 3 which is mild compared to other intensities. When you get to 5, you obviously going to get a much darker roast and more bitter. Overall a high quality product that is great for that perfect cup of espresso coffee. ... MoreFresh and Organic Coffee Beans. A nice bean for home espresso machine. I was running low on my usual beans so this sample came through at the perfect time. During stay at home order #6 here in Victoria, we are definitely running through more coffee at home than normal, so we were happy to give these a go. I prefer to buy coffee beans in smaller sizes from local roasters so they stay super fresh, and we weren't disappointed with these. Nice and smooth flavour and pair well with soy and regular milks. A touch mild for an espresso but not bad. Great price for a fair trade product. Will buy again!
