My girls loved this toy and it was so magical to watch the pixling appear! The instructions were easy to follow. The girls took it in turns to pour the potions into the bottle. It can get a little messy, so make sure you have someone underneath to catch any spillages! We loved our clue from the potion packet, it contained paper scales. The girls loved watching the colours swirl around then magically turn clear to fully revealed the pixling. I think if we had given it a little shake, the colour would have mixed in a little better. We would definitely recommend this toy to others, it would make a lovely birthday or Christmas gift!

We followed all the instructions as stated in the correct order yet when we added the second large potion the blue stayed up at the top and didn't sink so half of the liquid was clear and the small bits we added kept getting stuck at the top. So when we turned the gem at the top. I could already see the doll inside. Luckily my daughter hadn't seen this so I quickly covered with my hand so she still experienced the reveal. Despite the issues with that my daughter loves her doll and has played with her and her other dolls together since. I asked my 5 year old daughter her opinion she said - "it was the best thing of my life, I couldn't have wished for anything more". Safe to say this toy was a big hit!
My children loved the potion making element of this toy. The magic of the water turning blue and then a darker blue as more potion elements were added made their faces light up. They moved revealing the hidden magic word and shouted it out loud as they pushed the crystal down. They were then thrilled when the potion started to clear and they saw their Pixling. My daughter was thrilled to get the mermaid Pixling doll as it was the one she was most hoping to get.The doll itself is cute. It would be nice to have some accessories with it to further play afterwards but it is also nice for them to use their imagination. I hope they bring out refill packs to recreate the reveal part of this toy as my children definitely found that bit the best.
The Magic Mixies Pixlings was such fun. The kids really enjoyed creating the potion and loved being part of creating the magic to reveal our doll, Marena. Marena is really bright and colourful and the kids absolutely love her cool style. Her hair is super soft and we love the movable limbs.As a parent I love the colour coded gemstone which gives you a clue to which of the Pixlings is inside, this is super helpful.Overall, we would definitely recommend Magic Mixies Pixlings, it is great fun creating the magic to reveal the doll and then the doll Marena is super fun to play with and enjoy too.
I first wanna say, this thing is so stinkin cute! It really can have your littles imagination going! Anywho. It can be a bit messy while adding the liquid into the bottle, so as directed, definitely protect your work area! I love how interactive my daughter got to be with revealing her doll! And the 'magic' behind it! When taking the doll out of the bottle, definitely be careful when pulling it out because some of the liquid could end up in the packaging. Also, there is a tab that you pull off the bottle that can be used as a stand for the doll, which is perfect for upcycle! All in all, my daughter had a blast revealing her character and the interaction that's involved! She also though the doll was adorable!
