Magic Modern Horizons Booster Box MTG

Most items arrive with cosmetic damage to the packaging. If you’re look to save these to sell later, look somewhere else. If you only care about the contents, you should be fine. Crushed or torn open boxes have been the norm more than the exception. Out of the last dozen or so boxes, only 3 were in good shape.

Was for a gift, arrived in good condition and quickly. Wish drop did more buys for other hobbies like this but have pigeonholes into just keebs and audio now.

An Amazing Set

Modern Horizons is perhaps the best set to come out for Magic in a long time. Full of both great reprints and brand new cards that pay homage to other classic cards, Modern Horizons is the set veterans of the game have been wanting for years. This sale brings you the product you want quickly and at a fair price, so if you want to get your hands on Modern Horizons before it goes out of print, look no further.

An excellent set design that was just missing fetchlands...

Modern Horizons is the set we didn't even know we needed. Instead of heavily reprinting cards like other master sets, a pretty good chunk are new prints, and while it seems they went cautious with the power creep, so many of the new cards are useful in Modern and Commander. We needed a non-standard set that would make us relive great times in MTG. And this set is amazing to draft as well, really fun and balanced due to the diversity of mechanics.. My only issue is that this was a missed opportunity for wizards to reprint fetch-lands and show their loyal players they still care, instead of the greedy move with the Secret Lair. This would have been the perfect set to do it, specially if you're trying to keep and attract your player base to the format Modern. You are responsible to maintain your staple lands accessible, and how else do you expect to sell this product for 'Modern' if players cannot afford to play modern? This would have also increased sales for Modern Horizons. Otherwise wizards did a really good job designing this set. It feels refreshing and has incredibly pleasing artwork. I think it has been underappreciated, and in the future we will miss it.

Decent price, good product

Decent price for a box of MH1 given the current market. Box showed up very quickly, no signs of damage or tampering. The contents of the box were also decent, with 5 mythics and 2 foil rares. Notable pulls were an Urza, a Force of Negation, a Prismatic Vista, and a Sword of Sinew and Steel.

Fun and Value

Had a good time drafting this with the fam! Saw some cool decks like R/B goblins, U/G snow, U/B ninjas, and even a pretty decent Hogax deck! This set has a bunch of mechanics, but they draft pretty well together. Got a foil Force of Negation out of the deal, and easily broke even on the box as far as value goes. Definitely get these while they're still "cheap."

Modern Horizons

Everything with Collector's Store was great, but Wizards is definitely overcharging for this produce, based on what is in the set. As it is, maybe 1.5 x MSRP would be an appropriate cost, but there is not nearly enough value in the set to justify 2x MSRP.Instead of the art cards, there should have been something like box toppers or masterpieces in the set, to add some much needed value.

Not too shabby

Very nice cards, good collation, love the full art chase, the foil tokens, the full art Snow Lands, and, if you get one, I did, a fold full art Snow Land! I'm not particular about the advanced price point of the box, however, again at least in my case, the cards' value met and slightly exceeded the box's cost. I may yet buy a second box if the price point stays the same. The Con: Total Bolshavik that WOTC is no longer placing MFSP on products.

This Modern Horizons booster box

This Modern Horizons booster box was my second time ordering a booster box from The Collector Store. Both times, the overall experience of ordering and receiving the booster box (plus some card sleeves) was very easy and smooth. The package came quickly both times and I had no issues whatsoever with delivery (no damage; receipt even has hand written “thank you”!). It’s a big plus that the cost of the booster boxes and card sleeves were cheaper here than at other online stores I looked at. Regarding Modern Horizons as a set, I think at the price point I purchased the box at ($270), it was not the best value for my purposes (casual EDH play). I did make some valuable pulls though (Urza, Wrenn and Six, Prismatic Vista).
