I spent a long time researching before buying this as it’s a big investment and just over 2 weeks later I have no regrets. When it first arrived I found the bowl very difficult to remove, I assumed it was a fault so contacted Magimix and they immediately offered to send a new bowl. By the time this had arrived my bowl had loosened up considerably with use and the new one was just as stuff so maybe that’s just how they are. The bowl is lovely to use and easy to clean as I’d hoped. Magimix suggest doing a set of first week recipes while you learn to use the machine which is a great idea but no way set it to vegetarian so not really doable for me. Great for pastry and bread. Rice worked well though I needed to buy a little metal pudding how that fitted in the steamer. Steaming veg worked well. I’m still struggling with mash potato but I think it might be my tastes for less creamed results. Not convinced on cakes yet but I’ve only tried one. Bechemal sauce is amazing, throw in the ingredients, couple of button presses and a silky smooth sauce. All in all I’m really happy with my purchase, the recipe book that comes with it is a bit too French influenced for me and not particularly vegetarian friendly but I feel I’ll be able to adapt any recipe pretty easily. The Magimix app has potential as it’s very slick and easy to use. I hope they keep updating it and allowing community members to add recipes. The rinse function makes it very easy to clean, which is good as I’m using multiple times a day atm.

So I used all my overtime earning for this year to buy something for me ! We are a family of 5 including someone with sensory issues so has specific food issues. I was a magi mix food processor user before this purchase but I LOVE my cook express. Scones, curries, risotto , creamed soup I adore my cook express. The double wall of the metal bowl keeps food warm if busy, I have had so many compliments for my creations & I feel slightly guilty that the Cooke express takes so much of the hassle away !

Waited for so long to get my Magimix. The steel bowl was so tight I couldn't put it on the base without straining my gut and hands. I had to wait until my husband was home to do it and he didn't want to push and force it for fear of breaking it. I called customer support at Magimix and they approved of forcing it on. The second time I used it to mix a small batch of scones it stopped and had a Motor Overload error. Magimix have been great but my new unit had to be posted back to them to have the base checked and the bowl shaved (apparently common) to fit on the base more easily. Now I am so worried that my perfect black base will return marked or scratched. Couldn't return to TVSN becuase they demand original packaging and that was ripped up to fit in recycle bins ... MoreWaited for so long to get my Magimix. An extremely versatile and useful tool.Very sturdy and a joy to use. I have found the recipe book and instructions easy to follow. I have also tried out very successfully my own recipes on the Cook Expert.The self clean function is an added bonus.Expensive, but a good investment.I fully expect it to last as long as my original Magimix, which lasted 40 years.
Having the Magimix Cook Expert in the kitchen has been like having a kitchen assistant. It is easy to use and works very well. Like all new appliances, it took a bit of time and deliberate use to incorporate it into my cooking routines. However, after around 2 weeks, I use it quite intuitively. Magimix also has an app. I do have to say that Magimix Australia has very good and responsive customer service to queries I have made. And thank you Kitchen Warehouse for packing the machine very well and despatching it quickly because I took a bit of a risk buying this (a warranty is not available for overseas purchases). That said, having had a Magimix processor that lasted 33 years, I was willing to take that risk.
Very much enjoying exploring my new Cook Expert. It's beautifully designed and feels very sturdy and strong. I'm finding it easy to use, I love all the food processor functions as well as the Cook Expert - so far I've tested it on all kinds of meals ranging from yoghurt to pasta sauces to salads - even porridge. Cleanup is surprisingly easy too. With the app plus cookbooks plus wide range of videos, I've been able to find instructions for most of the things that I want to make. Some have taken a bit of experimenting and tweaking so it's great to be able to add notes to personalise recipes in the app as well. Getting it on sale was a bonus. So my only question is why I waited this long ...

I made a fruit puree, with apples, banana and apricots, could not believe how fast it heats up, how smooth it purees, getting right through the mix. I changed to the food processor attachment and tried making some coleslaw with the midi bowl and the slicing and shredding discs. Very fast and very easy with again professional results.
