Being prepared isn’t just for the men ladies!!!!! So I have a small maglite in green, I actually got a two pack from Home Depot 2C-3C LED Flashlight Lite Pack for $24 bucks. It was originally for camping but I kept the smaller of the two in my Vera purse in one of the side pockets for emergencies. You can’t even tell it’s there! I was taught that it’s always good for a women to keep a knife and some sort of flashlight in her car/purse. This is lightweight yet feels substantial and strong. It’s come in handy when looking for keys, when I’m at the park, if I get stuck on the roadside, when the electricity goes out I know all I have to do is reach in my purse. Just because our want a small lightweight flashlight doesn’t mean it should be flimsy with crappy light. This thing shines out far into the distance. I won’t ever go back to any other brand again. I’ll take a photo and upload soon so you can see how handy it fits in my purse!

Bad design, faulty tail switch.

Tailcap switch fails and Maglight does NOT repair it. Scratches easily, rolls away if not stood upright, any leakage at all from a battery will super corrode the inside, voiding warranty. Nice looking piece of junk. After experience with their customer service, having used their products for years working security, I will never buy another Maglight product nor every recommend them.

Buy more than one! Probably the handiest light ever!

These are the absolute best flashlight today. Bright, compact, multiple uses! I've probably bought about ten of these, have one in each vehicle, go bags, beside the bed, etc. Reliability of a Mag light and small compact and super bright! Great for holding between fingers, maybe in your mouth, when you don't have a free hand... I like that you can use the dimmer setting when you don't need as much light, but still have the capability to spotlight up to 100 yds or more away! Strobe is great for disorienting attackers...(maybe)

Constant reliability

Maglite has always been a brand with very good, sturdy flashlights. They fell behind for a while when the explosion of LED sources came about, but they have caught up. The XL-50 if one example of the rapidly changing technology of LED flashlights; you can find thre or four different models of it with different outputs. The 200 Lumens is currently the most powerful, but in a few months here will probably be a 240 or 300 Lumens model. There is only so much light that you can effectively use if you are a camper or want the flashlight for emergencies around your house. If you want to blind someone in the net state from yours, go for one of those monsters that are out there and that will cost three times as much and won't last as long. I highly recommend it.

Good light at a great price
11 January 2015

I had to review after seeing the one star rating.I've used this light for about 2.5 years as my duty carry light. It's made in America, runs on AAA batteries, and has 3 settings including strobe. Better yet, it's a small bright light that takes the same batteries as the headlamps I use. That's a major plus when you work out of a backpack at times.I appreciate the simplicity and reliability of this light. I've bought them for my department's cache to replace the streamlights. These are less expensive, don't take those high dollar batteries, and have been just as reliable/functional.

It fits in your pocket, is very bright and has the quality of a Maglite.
7 May 2015

This tactical flashlight is another high quality item put out by the already famous Maglite. I own several old Maglite's and like this product so much I bought one with 104 lumens and one with 139 lumens. As with all "new generation" LED flashlights and lanterns I have noticed that after the batteries have lost a percentage of power (?) they switch to "low drain" mode and will then last for many hours even days. This low drain mode saves battery life but the lumens are so low that I wonder if this is the best thing to do. I am hoping on some company to work on this, more light or longer battery life.

Lightweight with great features.

* Fantastic classic flashlight with LED so bright, you cannot look into the lens. Long battery life that has brought back the use of "C" size batteries. Lightweight and easy to handle with focus adjustment. I use rechargeable in my three Maglite ML50L flashlights. It is programable including a fast blinding strobe. When searching for flashlights on Ebay, This light was the most popular for it's price. Try one you will not regret it. Maglite rebuilt my older incandescent flashlights for free. I threw away all of my older plastic flashlights that seemed dull in comparison. *

Maglite XL 50
15 April 2017

I've been using the Maglite XL50 at work for the last five years or so. I sometimes set it down at work and walk away and forget it (someone is getting a good flashlight for free) or loose it through a hole in my pocket but I always get another one. Best flashlight I ever owned. It's small and light weight and very bright. It's very easy to use with the tail cap switch. I put it in my back pocket and sit down and don't even know I'm sitting on it. I highly recommend it to others.

Such a good flashlight
12 October 2021

The Maglight 200 is made in USA so I like it better the light is as bright as a surefire, burns just 3 common AAA batteries. The switch functions well, I like the size. I like the holster. I had one for 3 years and just bought a new Maglight 200 only because I thought that I lost the original. This light should last me 10 years. Thanks for making such a good flashlight.
