Used to connect girth-hitched tow straps together in a line for some big logs pulled by a winch. These had no problem pulling about 1,500 lbs of Logs rigged in a row up a steep hill. I'm getting a few more of these. A lot of uses, just get some, you'll see.

I prefer this due to the fact you can't side load it or have to worry about it being against the tree in the right way, Its strong and just as easy to use, great for base or canopy anchors, with srt or mrs configurations.

I have 2 of the Medium size (5/16). Excellent quality. Threads are very precise. Easy to operate. The gate opening is a bit narrow. Only .366 or 9.2964 mm. Just enough to maneuver into the holes of a DMM XS Bat Plate or the holes on a Hitch Climber Pulley . Hope this helps.

Every Climber should have at least one or two of the quick links, I use one at the end of my adjustable friction saver in a sewn eye for retrieval, and to safe off my slip or butterfly knot on my climbing line and my secondary rope, when I think I'll need to traverse or redirect to another tree, or if I have to swing through an opening in the canopy. I've been using this on my SRT system alongside an Alpine Schmetterling, and I have had no issues anywhere. As for friction saving and running rope around it, it's smooth as butter.
Great tool for the SRT climber. Excellent tool for canopy anchors that can be repositioned without pulling all that rope through. Just make sure you carry a wrench so you can torque it down properly.

I use this for my retrievable canopy anchor On an alpine butterfly. I like the delta because they are bombproof and I don't have to worry about it side loading or breaking. Far more peace of mind. The shape holds my climbing line and retrieval line nicely and slides through crotches pretty well If necessary
