Preferred maize, red winter wheat, naturally malted barley and special selected yeast and the pure, non-ferrous water from the private Limestone Lake. Aged for over 7 years in charred white oak barrels. The soft, round taste of this premium Bourbon is particularly appreciated. Maker's Mark has its very own grain mixture for its Bourbon. The mash contains about 70% corn. The remaining 30% is made up of malted barley and wheat. Unlike many other Kentucky distilleries, Maker's Mark does not use rye. Not using rye is what makes Maker's Mark whisky so soft.
