Makeup Revolution C17 Conceal & Define Concealer

This is the revolution full coverage concealer I have been using it for a couple of months on a daily basis and do really enjoy the product. It gives a Matt finish , dries fast when applied when not blended into the skin giving if the full coverage effect when blended . It’s good for a sharpe contour under the eyes and dark circles giving a fresh , clean look . It also dose stay on for a good amount of hours and doesn’t need to be re applied which I love when having a busy life style you can just blend the product with your fingers, that will do the trick if any smudging occurs. The brush is super sized making it easy to apply work with as a little of the product goes a long way , only little is needed. Good shade pale wise, but wished a slightly less yellow one (once again no cool shade). If I want to brighten I needed even lighter, because C1 is practically my own skincolour. Nice doefoot, great coverage, BUT... for an older woman (40+), especially a dry skinned one, this one definitely isn't a holy grail. You just see too many lines and it's too drying on me aswell. I used it for a long time because compared to many other brands it was certainly much much better, but what's left of my 2nd bottle will be used for simple spots or removing the redness on my eyelid when I'm not using eyeshadow or liner. I now use another Revolution concealer which does do what I want. I won't repurchase, but still recommend it to below 35y-olds and normal to oily skin.

I like to use this concealer but only with certain types of powders and foundations. Mixing this concealer with the wrong foundation, powder or any other form of makeup will make it lift off the skin, look patchy, dry and peely. I haven’t found the right products to match it with yet. The pros: colour range, the texture before being powdered, medium-full coverage. The cons: the way it dries so fast, the patchy flakey look after being set with powder. Honestly, I’d only recommend this product if you can find suitable powders/ foundations to use with it. I tried this because they were out of the one I usually buy at Ulta. This actually is a decent concealer. I have dry skin but it didn’t leave my under eye dry or settle in my creases. Even after setting it with powder it isn’t look dry or cakey. The coverage was good, covered up my dark circles and redness well and lasted all day without creasing. There are a lot of color choices and was very reasonably priced at under $10 dollars. I have read that this is a dupe for Tarte Shape Tape concealer which I have used many times in the past. This really does come close to being as good to give as good coverage. It is a little thicker and creamy but for this price is a good option for those not wanting to spend as much.

Best concealer for mature skin

I am 46 years old and a makeup and skincare addict. I have tried so very many concealers over the years, some good some not so good. Has we age our skin especially around our eyes, is one of the first areas to show wrinkles. Finding a concealer that does not make these lines/wrinkles appear even more visible is a task that many of us struggle with. Along the way I am always on the lookout for the next best thing after reading many makeup blogs and reviews, that are supposed to work especially well on more mature skin. CLOSE to a true dupe, real close

I'll give it to them, this is pretty close to Shape Tape by Tarte (which is my all time fave) so I do like this. But it's not exactly the same. Really close though. It dose crease a little bit more than shape tape dose and a tiny bit faster too. It takes a little more of this to cover the same amount of skin that less shape tape could've covered but that's no real big deal, just a difference is all. Oh, the bad smell, that's a big difference, but once it dries down that's gone. So, I say, if you really, really cannot afford Shape Tape but want it, this is the closest to it, that is cheap, that I've found.

Good Coverage, But Needs Help

I find a product is truly good if it doesn't need help from other products, and this one needs help. You do get full coverage with this, however, it dries down very dry looking. I don't have an issue with texture in the more concentrated areas I apply this, but more so the diffused areas, it emphasizes texture. You definitely need a hydrating something before using this if you don't want crepey looking skin. I have the C3, it's fairly pink in undertone and VERY pale. I initially had the C1 shade and WOW that is nearly white. For the price, it's fine, but to add extra steps and an additional product, now it's taking up more time and money.

Good full coverage concealer

I bought this after using the fast base concealers from Revolution as I wanted the eye primer that is always sold out and this looked similar for doing a cut crease eyeshadow look. The formula is similar to a camouflage concealer from a popular three letter drug store brand. It is full coverage but doesn't weigh heavily on my skin. I like the wide range of shades available and can say that I have successfully used it with both the pressed Bake & Blot powder as well as the pressed matte powders. It can be spotted on to cover a blemish, blended and layered for colour correction or dotted and powder to "bake". I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it can streak if you don't blend completely right away. LOVE!!! But....

I'm absolutely in love with this product. I'm a drag performer and bought the white concealer to add extra highlights to my mug. This concealer is awesome-- highlights beautifully, blends well, and doesn't crease or wear down poorly. I only wish that they would actually fill the tubes fully!! I don't get nearly as many uses from the white as I do from my C1 shade. It's a constant battle of trying to work the product from the tube and not getting a lot of payoff when I know I should be getting plenty still.

it's alright!

my sister had previously had this concealer and I thought it looked quite nice on me, but I couldn't tell as we are slightly different skin tones. I bought it myself about 1 month ago, maybe less, and started to wear it. I love the applicator and the consistency of this concealer! my issues are that it is quite small so it only lasted a few weeks, but that can be accepted considering the price. it also settled in my creases, and I have tried everything to stop it. sometimes, it can also go a bit cakey but i'm not sure if that's just an issue with my powder. so, in conclusion, if you are a beginner, I would probably go for another one, a good one can be the fit me from maybelline. I would recommend this for oily skin tho, it dries down to be matte!!
