Makita 1510W 260mm Slide Compound Mitre Saw LS1019

Although I’m a DIYer I decided to replace my old Bosch DIY mitre saw with this Makita mitre saw as it goes closer to the wall, cuts larger dimension timber and has good dust extraction.It’s a well designed good quality mitre saw that cuts cleanly and precisely. It’s fairly heavy so if you want an easily transportable mitre saw or have a lightweight mitre saw stand it may be worth considering other models.

Great product - price a bit high, but it is a Makita! Saw works great. Cassie @ Toolden was fantastic with keeping me updated with the delivery and would highly recommend Toolden as a power tool supplier.

Wasnt impressed had 2 faulty saws both with the same issue of the bearings underneath the saw being broke making it impssible to adjust the saw to miteAlso the factory settings for the mitres are way out

An excellent piece of kit but you get what you pay for. I particularly like the slide arrangement which works well in a confined space and the locking and adjustment of the tilt mechanism from the front of the machine is a great design feature. It’s very well made so expect reliability to be good

Great saw, very well designed and constructed, only negative for me is that it's very large, while the side rails are a great idea, the actual size of the saw does mean that it takes up almost as much room as one with rails at the rear, overall though, great piece of kit.

This is an exceptionally well designed practical saw made to Makita’s excellent standard.

After months of research & looking at all the “new kids on the block” I decided on buying the LS 1019. I’ve just had over 20 years with an earlier model of this and it’s been bullet proof- what more proof do you need. First Class Chop saw.

I have been using Makita saws for 35 years , this is a high quality product that will give high quality results. smooth operation . 26kgs though but still worth it and would change it.

This really is a superb saw that is very accurate and well built. Two minor niggles, dust extraction port is a bit silly and you can't quite push the saw back against the wall. Blade changing bit of a fan as the guard drops down all the time. But those aside, speaking as a carpenter this is one heck of a machine and highly recommended.

Makita LS1019/2 260mm Sliding Mitre Saw 240V - 1510W

Awesome bit of kit, it was a toss up between this and the dewalt, so glad I got this one.The motor is set at an angle allowing you to bevel cut both left or right, and a full 48 degrees both sides. The depth of cut adjustment was also a key feature for me and this one is great you can turn it on and off just by flicking a lever over. Mitres and straight cuts are so accurate right out of the box I didn't need to faff around getting the machine set up at all and it is a lovely clean cut. Really happy with it
