For the price I paid for this tool, it simply has been a waste of money. If the timber is ultra soft then this pin nailer works, however if you get into slighter harder timber beads then it fails to penetrate. Already been back to Makita for repair under warranty. Disappointing

I have not bought this product yet but I will. I agree with guy about sub par want to be carpenters who do not know how tool works. I have an 18 gage makita and when some of my so called carpenters borrow my gun they either getting jams or nails won't sink all the way. Makita makes the best tools. Just learn how to use it . Learn the tricks. Sometimes you have to press the gun harder against the piece you nailing so it does not kick back and know the hardness of material , use right length of nail. These are all common sense. Don't just give bad reviews if you don't know how to work it. I have makita tools and I swear by them. Of course occasionally you get a lemon but that is rare.

Fantastic pin nailer, ideal for architraves and fine mouldings, does not split the timber as bigger gauge pins do.
Perfect for light mechanical fixings , 127mm coving skimming beads ect . Fitted 450 lm of coving on 1 battery . No damage or dents , less filling . Well pleased
Not happy with this tool its a month old and it fell apart in my hands. Took it back to Home Depot they say nothing the can do for me because i bought it online through home depot. Told me to take it and get it fixed its under warranty. Not happy with makita or home depot
