Makita 18V 6.0Ah Li-ion Battery - BL1860B-L

I purchased two 6.0Ah batteries. When they arrived, they were lighter than a genuine 3.0Ah battery I had purchased the week prior (to double the capacity, there either needs to be double the number of cells or use the same number of cells, but use cells with with double the capacity, which are generally heavier - check 18650 battery specs if you want to verify this). I fully charged them and then used them along with the 3.0Ah battery. Neither of the 6.0Ah batteries lasted as long as the 3.0Ah battery and one failed after the first use. The failed battery shows up as fully charged whilst in the charger, but theres no response when attempting to use it in a power tool.

Ok few words about this batteries. First They have got less capacity like original 3ah Makita batteries definitely not 6ah. That's joke. Second you can use them with impact battery drill even in grinder they will work but try to use them in more powerfool tool disaster. I put them to Makita circular saw and after 40 cm cutting in 18mm MDF just smoke caming aut from batteries and end of story. Battery dead. I recommend them to somebody who's doing small things in hause not to one whu use them all day at work.

I've been using these batteries for 3 months on and off, including two cut roof projects so they have had a very thorough testing. They last approximately twice as long as my original 3AH Makita battery so the 6AH seems to be accurate. The charge remaining indicators are so helpful, a really good feature that the cheaper alternatives don't have. They are slightly stiffer to remove from tools but they loosen with use so that's a good thing. The peace of mind with the warranty means these really are a great investment at half the price of the originals.
