I used to use a Dewault alligator saw 240v to cut up pallets for firewood, then I bought this Makita djr187 , this saw is 10 times better. The 5Ah batteries last ages. and if the wood cutting blade hits a nail the blades even cheap ones keep cutting no problems. The alligator blades would need replacing and they cost a lot of money. I now have a Dewault alligator saw for sale.
Very pleased with the Makita recip saw, a great addition to my existing Makita tools, which Iām sure will prove just as reliable.
used it for a few days in large garden - cut the time to complete pruning jobs by as much as 80% - very impressed.
