Works really well and is very powerful on high setting.My only gripe is that when running on full power, two 5aph batteries last only minutes.Luckily I have lots of makita batteries.Its a bit of a faff to change from blowing to sucking.Overall happy with it.

We used the Makita blower and vacuum for the first time last weekend and are absolutely delighted with it. The vacuum is very powerful and picks up not only leaves but small twigs as well before cutting them into smaller pieces and collecting them in the vacuum bag. The leaf blower is very powerful too and very quickly clears the drive of all that leaves and twigs.I’m delighted with the product purchased and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
Great addition to my Makita collection. It does use up the batteries very quickly in vacuum mode but in blowing mode they last longer. Superb tool!
More than enough power for my purposes round the garden/driveway/etc. Run time well over 30 mins on 3 x 6aH batteries. Very happy with this purchase from my favourite online Makita-tool supplier.
I've was hesitating to buy this for a while since I wasn't sure it would do what I needed but after purchasing the blower vac it is even better than I could have hoped for. All the loose leaves and more are simply sucked up and mulched.
A disappointing purchase. I bought this expecting to get a really good Vacuum machine but it is really a blower with the vacuum function added on as an afterthought.I have not used it as a blower,so I can't judge it's performance, but to change from one function to the other would probably take several minutes.As a Vacuum it is powerful but heavy, unwieldy, and difficult to get in the right position to use. The other problem is that it eats power, I have found that two fully charged 5ah batteries last less than 10 minutes.In all, a bad purchase for me and as a Vacuum very poorly designed and expensive.
This Blower/Mulcher plus the bag is really good, the only slight groan is that the batteries do not last very long although having said that I am still getting used to it so perhaps there is a knack to using it. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase.
My old Bosch leaf vacuum finally broke down. Although it had worked effectively, it was a pain to assemble and was not very easy to control. The new Makita blower/shredder is in a different league. To my surprise, it is far more powerful than the Bosch corded machine, Although it looks big and unwieldy it is very easy to use, well balanced and easy to control. A word of warning - don't go near the business end when on full vacuum, you could lose your arm! Brilliant machine.
