Brilliant, swift service from Toolden, thanks very much!Chuffed to bits with my purchase, I’m confident that this mower can adequately take over from my Honda petrol mower that I’ve had for years, after two cuts of both my front and rear lawns without waking any neighbours!My only gripe is with Makita's redemption scheme where my application was rejected 5-6 times for ridiculous reasons that they did not explain properly! I had just about given up on my 'free gift' when I spoke to a certain lady who resolved the matter in a couple of minutes without my needing to forward any 'further evidence of purchase'

The mower seems fairly solid and well built. So far I have only used it once. It took me about 45 minutes to cut my 3 lawns on a height setting of 35mm. All the cuttings went into the grass collection bag as they should. I had to empty the bag 5 or 6 times. On checking the batteries i found I had used less than half of the available power. One of the main reasons I decided to buy a Makita mower is the availability of replacement batteries, should I ever need them.

Wanted a cordless mower for ages to replace my corded one and found this. Really happy with the performance and battery life. I have front and back lawn approx total 200sq m mowed a few times different length as grass was long and I still had 2 bars left on battery. Only niggle is grass collector is smaller than my old mower. Plus makita redemption was a nice little bonus. Great service from toolden

This is my first battery power lawn mower, dual battery is plenty for my back lawn two front lawns and corner plot with power to spare. Impressed with the multiple cutting height. Cuts very well and is light enough to not be too much effort when carrying to other lawned areas. Cuttings box large enough so as not to back and forth to the bin too often. All round wry happy with my purchase!
I was a little hesitant as downgrading from petrol. Cuts long grass well nice finish you just need to be a bit gentle. It’s not petrol. Very quiet to use and cut 3 lawns on 1/2 a charge. Have the added bonus of the 2 free batteries from makita.Happy Days
Good quality mower. Feels solid and cuts well with multiple height settings. Easy to assemble. Dual charger good but be aware not the rapid charge model. Ordered On Saturday with free Sunday delivery . Very pleased when arrived following day! I use Makita tools for work so swapped for some older 3Ah batteries and run time still ok.
Great mower. First time having a cordless one and I’m glad I did. No cables to worry about running over (which I used to occasionally). The mower itself cuts my lawn really well. Collects quite a lot of grass before it needs emptying and it’s very easy to empty. Would recommend.
It’s perfect for me as I struggle to start our petrol mower. It’s very light and manoeverable but at 38cm it’s quite a narrow cut so many walks up and down the lawn! No problem with battery life. I think it would struggle with very long or damp grass such as the first cut of the year or coming back after holidays. It will be an addition to the petrol mower, not a replacement.
Light weight and well built. Easy to use but it’s not self propelled like my old petrol mower and is a bit gutless. To be fair, I fully expect most battery mowers to be like this in terms of power. Think it’s fine for a small garden and hopefully there will be very little maintenance compared to petrol mower.
The best lawnmower I have ever owned. A joy to use, quiet, great hight adjustment, no blade of grass left behind, easy to empty grass bag. I have a medium size rear lawn (45ft x 45ft) and a small front lawn (20ft x 15ft), and the two 18v 5Ah batteries both show 75% change remaining after the cut. So I can cut five times on a single charge, amaizing. In fact so impressed am I with the Makita 18v LXT battery system, that I have now swapped out pretty much all my plug-in power tools for the equivalent Makita 18v LXT battery version.
