Upgraded to this from a previous Makita Site Radio, thought the old one which is over 5 years old and none DAB+ sound quality was good but this is even better, extra speaker and adjustable equaliser. Does what it says on the box. Down side is there’s no alarm and down timer setting which would have been ideal for myself, but other than that it’s awesome. And obviously the service from Screwfix is/was awesome as always. 100% recommend. 5*🤓👍

I think this is probably the best radio I've ever had. The sound quality is outstanding. I love the sub woofer when the bass is pumping. Also very robust. Probably expensive but definitely worth it. You get what you pay for!

An excellent bit of kit, we use ours mainly in the summer outside. DAB works a treat too. Nice punchy bass comes from it. An excellent well made product from Makita.

The sound from this radio is excellent, and even better if you sit it over something hollow such as a bucket! The display is nice and clear, and you can see it well in bright sunlight. Reception is better than my older DMR112, not sure why some say it's worse, the antenna is in the handle which works best when upright but the majority of the time can be left flat. The 2.4A USB output is very handy for charging stuff. The body of the radio feels well made, many of the black bits in the pictures are made of rubber. And it's definitely shower resistant as I use it in the rain quite often!
The new radio has really good features and is better designed but is not as loud as the old version. Best bit about this new radio is they got rid of the aerial I think it must be built into the handle now
I upgraded from my old makita radio and this one is brilliant the sound is wicked. So glad I purchased this
Had old one This one so much better all round Highly recommend
Im loving this radio . I bought it for my garage after going to a friends house who had one going in the garden , I was so impressed with the sound quality and build quality, I bought one the next day. Some people complain about the sub woofer distortion, which it does do , but its an easy fix by adjusting the bass equilizer. Job done.Do I recommend this unit? Absolutely.
Preferred the older models but it's a great radio still and does what you need! Only issue with this newer radio Is that the radio will turn off and say battery is low even though thr battery has charge sill sometimes near half life. Only had 2 weeks and not sure if anyone else has found this
This is a great radio with great features and brilliant sound. The only downside is it drains the battery really quickly so make you have a high amp battery.
