I bought other manufacturers' nail guns, but they were all too heavy, more expensive, and slow. I purchased this nail gun, and it was light, fast as lightning, and less costly, so I fell in with it and couldn't put it down. The gun is fantastic, and so are all of my other Makita tools and compressors.

I'm a pretty picky person when it comes to shopping, but this shop makes me happy when I buy, it's a great success of this shop. It's not a coincidence that I praise this shop though. What is it that is both of good quality and at a very cheap price?

I have been looking for a framing nailer for a long time but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. I saw this one advertised at 35% off and had good reviews so I went ahead and ordered it through homedepot.com. It came in ahead of time in a nice protective box. It was a little bigger than I had imagined but I was surprised how light it was after I picked it up. I am using it to do small repairs to my wooden fence and gate and so far I have nothing to complain about. I am extremely pleased with how easy it is to use without messing up. I highly recommend it.

Makita Quality shines through. Used both 50mm and 90mm nails and both can be driven as deep or shallow as you want using the adjuster. Only down side is the nails sometimes trap the plastic that they are made into strips with behind the head of the nails. About 20% of the nails trap white plastic bits which require picking/scraping out to remove. This is not the fault of the nailer but a fault of the nails that I bought separately.
Just figured out how to write a review. Left a comment earlier.bought this gun about 9 months ago. It's new years day 2023. Plunger got stuck last week. Took the gun apart this morning. Nothing is wrong with it that is apparent. The rings look fine. It's not dirty. Cleaned it and oiled it. Put it back together. Same thing. Did this several times. Soon as the air goes to it the plunger flys forward and sticks.I've shot about 10,000 nails through this gun. Taken good care of it. Never left it out in the elements. No nail gun should malfunction after this short of a period of time or this little use. This is ridiculous. Don't buy this gun. It's garbage. I should have known better. Guess you gotta buy a real nail gun like a Hitachi NR83 if you expect it to actually ... MoreJust figured out how to write a review. Left a comment earlier.bought this gun about 9 months ago. Great product, great price. I built my shed using this nailer and did not have any problem. No jamming issue whatsoever.
Great product with lightweight and affordable price.
Buy this if you want a gun that misfires. I’ve had this gun for a few months and now it stopped working. The hitachi framing nailer that my dad uses is 20 years old and it still works fine! There’s a reason why almost every framer goes with hitachi. Please avoid this framing nailer, save yourself from the stress this gun will cause you at the jobsite.
I am a professional carpenter and all my tools get heavy use and sometimes accidentally abused in harsh climates. I have used this tool only a few times but has been all day continuous use on three completely different tasks. First impression was good. Finish and functions felt good out of the box. Tool is slightly on the heavier side but I expected that, and I bought this gun specifically for framing residential walls on new homes. So weight wasn’t an issue to me.Test one: complex stick framingIf anyone has framed multiple rake walls in place one stud at a time knows how daunting this task can be if you don’t have the right equipment. There are many angles of toenailing and space limitations. I seen a review somewhere on this tool claiming that the nose did not get good traction when toenailing. I did not have this problem. In fact I found that it worked well for that application. Weight was not as noticeable as I thought it was going to be considering half of the work was overhead.Test 2: sheathing subfloorI did not buy this gun for this but I want to see what it could do. I ran about 3000 nails through this gun with only a couple failures due to nails stacking on top of each other. I have had guns with this type of feed rail before and none of them really like smaller nails. Also at below freezing temperatures this gun has a tendency to freeze up more then bostich or hitachi. Never stopped running despite the ice accumulation just had a slight hiss out of the exhaust until it defrosted.Test three: roof framingThe gun worked well for this task as well. Hook does fit 2” BCI and nose did seem to get traction on engineered materials as well.To sum it up this gun might not be your all around go to gun for commercial use, but it does preform above average for some jobs. I’m giving it three stars because there are framers out there that can do it all at the same price point.
two of these now totall crap. try again makita cant believe they still sell this thing
