Brushless really makes a huge difference. I still use my old makita set side by side with these. Toooottalllyyy different tools. Totally different feel. The sawzall litterally responds to the workload you put on it, it has a hook to hang it (I think that's what it's for lol) and two speeds. Pretty cool. Makita makes the best impact driver so you already know this one is amazing. Same with the hammer drill. Awesome set, if you're thinking about upgrading, do it.

I bought this set for some household projects and used all 3 tools the very first day. The quality is great and the batteries last a long time. I was concerned the sawz-all would not work as well as the corded Milwaukee brand one Ive been using for years but the Makita one passed the test. I highly recommend this set and for under $250 you cant beat it!

I bought this when it was 370 dollars. It was cheaper than Milwaukee and I like Makita. Every tool seems well made and durable. I work construction and my co workers like my tools.

I got this combo kit and it is really good, all the tools are really powerful and they feel sturdy and durable
Ive always been a Makita guy and these didnt let me down. Batteries last forever and charge very quickly. I burnt up my Milwaukee 8amp rotary hammer drill mixing 20lbs of thinset and had to finish the mixing with the Makita cordless drill. Ended up using the Makita to finish the other 20lbs with no problem. Reciprocating saw also had a surprisingly long battery life with rugged use.
I would give this 5 stars, but Makita has made the foot on the recip saw non-removable. For me, that is less desirable. I’ve used Makita cordless tools professionally for years, they have the best ergonomic designs, are light weight and durable, and if they need repair, the service center in Denver is great! Acme is in my home town, so I purchase from them whenever I can. Great prices, fantastic service.
So i for a brushless impact driver. A hammer drill and a sawsaw with 2 4AMP batteries for $292. Thats a great deal anyway u look at it. Highly recommended...
Took on a Youth mission trip to do construction and repair. Worked well, as expected from Makita.Brushless extends battery life a lot.Great tools.Bought spare 4Ah batteries but didn't need them, the stock 4Ah batteries never ran out in a days use.
These are great tools and the batteries are some of the best. I used these tools while I was an installer and still swear by them now that I'm retired. I used to burn up other drills or destroy their batteries but never a Makita. Very reliable.
This review is for the Makita 18V brushless tools. I'm in the construction trade and switching over from Milwaukee to Makita. I am regularly on a job working side by side with Makita, Dewalt and Milwaukee cordless tools. The Makita brushless outperform the others. Under continual use, the tool itself doesn't get as hot and doesn't require as many charges as the others somehow. My current Milwaukee Fuel driver couldn't hang with the Makita getting hotter and requiring more battery changes. The power between the big 3 Dewalt, Milwaukee and Makita are all about the same. So Brushless for a homeowner is probably overkill. Where the brushless shine is during continuous use....and the longevity of the tool is better with Brushless- they won't wear out as soon as the std versions. Final takeaway; I've seen/used All of the big 3 of these tools for many years. They are all very good....so splitting hairs a bit here. You will see a significant difference between the big 3 and the cheaper lines like Ryobi that have plastic gearing.....thus those are cheaper.If you are only using these tools for small jobs....even the Ryobi will serve you well.....where you run into problems with the std version tools or the cheaper lines is continual heavy duty use.
