Got this especially for carrying in the vehicle for changing a tire should the need arise. This has proved very helpful in the garage doing general maintenance. Works great.

Most powerful DeWalt impact. Consider getting DeWalt's "flex" line of batteries if you plan on running it all day. It chews through the included battery's power in less than an hour under hard use.

This half inch drive impact is great I used mine to install hardware on my gates. I love that this impact with the battery connected only weights four pounds most 1/2 inch impacts are heavy and can wear you out if you have to use them any length of time. I also love the LED light and compact design it really helps when working in poorly lighted areas and tight spaces. With 430 ft lbs of torque I have no problems using this impact to change tires on my trailor. I will be carrying this tool with me anytime I go on the road with my travel trailor.

Very powerful! Works well and good battery life on it. Definitely a great at home tool combo to ad to your arsenal.
More torque than Baur 1/2" plug in and about 5 other much larger plug ins and cordless, including Milwaukee, Dewalt, Ryobi. And first series Makia full size 18v. The awesome performance is an engineering marvel. U actually got it because i didn't want so much toque that it would frequently break smaller fasteners. (As it is, the first series would break wheel studs). Unfortunately, the size limits there hammer weight, giving difficult to ordinary results based on my bias of many years of using impacts. This has been used daily on VERY LARGE vehicles, DirecTV tti ATV's without let downs. It's limitations have only been vary larger/ seized/ old suspension and tractor bolts. The only impact around that can outperform it is the super giant Milwaukee cordless of my coworker, which reaffirms my wise decision to get this one, as I'm sure that the giant Makita 18v would probably destroy everything and get little use. Also, the small size is extremely took box friendly.
Got this about 3 weeks ago. Been putting of buying battery impact for a year or so. After using this kick myself for not buying it a long time ago. Very light and very powerful for its size. Love the auto stop feature. Has plenty of power to remove lug nuts and other really tigh nuts. Makes changing a tire much easier. Also small and light enough using under mower for changing blades. Size makes for easy storage. If interested in a smaller powerful impact can’t recommend this one enough. Through with air impact for sure.
So far this has been a great impact. It is the first one I’ve owned so I can’t compare it to anything but if it is anything like my dewalt drill, it will be great.
More powerful than my pneumatic and no hoses. What else could you ask for. Easily breaks my F150 lug nuts which are torqued at 150 ft lbs. Very impressed for such a small light tool.
This Makita impact wrench works excellent. I also have Dewalt and Milwaukee M18 Fuel impacts. This beats both of those other brands. I sold my Milwaukee (moving away from Chinese companies). Kept the Dewalt. We are professional mechanic shop. For those that don't own Makita yet, they usually have better fit and feel (and weight) then Dewalt or Milwaukee. We have a ton of tools in all 3 of those brands and have done side by side comparison of real work. Very happy with this Makita impact. We use it 6 days per week. Feels great in the hand with excellent features such as multiple auto-stop impact settings. Just wish both Makita and Dewalt would stop making any tools in China.
Plenty of power. Compact and durable. Nice fit in hand and not too heavy.
