Only thing it has against it, is the moving guard over the saw blade can´t be opened by hand (yes i know it´s for my safety). Should be delivered with hand & face protection as well.
Portable, lightweight. Got wooden disk also, so lot of work can be made, universally. And remember, there are not brushless motor, i expected new models are all brushless :) only downside- cutting disks are dark area on Makita, still looking for stainless steel disks. Complicated to find any information about them

I'm very disappointed with the new style makita cutter, this will be my fourth one now and have never had a problem with the old design. But the new swarf catcher is just not needed. It broke after one day of use, its made the cutter very wide and clumsy and worst of all, you can't retract the blade cover like you could on the last model, making it very dangerous if you need to. When this finally wears out, I will not be replacing with another
Excellent but of kit, using all the time cutting unistrut/cable tray, threaded rod etc. The collector box works well but sadly the safety guard cannot be raised slightly by finger trigger so will occasionally the guard will jam against the material your cutting and will not cut any further. But overall a good product will buy 1 again in the future.
