Compact design. Two options for the trigger gives useful options for holding and using the saw. Excellent build quality as all Makita products are.

Absolutely fantastic to have a reciprocating saw that's powerful and cordless to boot. This makes this tool a very good addition to my tool bag and highly versatile too.

I bought this saw for garden use having already bought an 18V hedge cutter with which I was mightily impressed. The small, light recip. saw has performed well, pruning unwanted elder saplings and removing shrub stumps. The advantage of this saw is that blades are quite cheap so using them half buried in soil is not a problem. Having the bar trigger as well as the finger one is a great benefit.

Purchased this smaller saw for cutting boiler tubes in hard to get to places. OK its not as powerful as the larger one but cuts 2" carbon tubes easily.
I purchased this for removing door frames and linings. It was a great price and did exactly what I wanted it too.It does use up the battery quite quickly, but ripped through the frames with easy. Especially as it’s lightweight and allows me to get into some awkward angles.
As usual excellent Makita quality. Great little saw for small cutting jobs with two triggers to chose from and a universal blade clamp that takes reciprocating blades and jigsaw blades, even broken hack saw blades can be clamped and used in short lengths, very handy.
I bought this Marita saw a month ago primarily because I’ve bought a battery drill I bought 15 years ago and the batteries are still good but I needed a saw that would go through metal and wood at the same time this did that and did it fast great.
Found it only of any use for small jobs , not upto any big jobs . Soon flattens the battery . If used for any length of time.
Marita! Yep once again, a grate bit of kit. Very well made, good balance, powerful and ergonomic. In my box a must have. You won't be disappointed. Ba z.
Well it's a good size for small works it's not the most powerful of tools but I mainly bought it to cut plasterboard around doors and windows which it is more than adequate for. If you require heavier cuts then not really the tool for the job as the blade tends to slow down when met with too much resistance. On the whole not too shabby Good luck.
