Excellent service from Toolboss. The order process was streamlined and the product was despatched within a day. Unfortunately, Australia Post delivery was very slow over the Christmas period, necessitating a progress enquiry from Toolboss to Australia Post. This was handled very efficiently.Haven't used the Makita trimmer yet due to continual rain. The product looks good, usual Makita quality.

Best hedger, hands down.

I threw a 6ah battery under this bad boy and she keeps it going most of a work day. Working around residential properties, I can chuck it on the lowest setting and still get the same result with 1/500th of the noise.Makita have smacked this out of the park in the 18v range. Worth every dollar!

Brilliant!!

I upgraded my hedge trimmer from a ryobi to the brushless makita and could not believe the power it has and how easy it is to use, just loves cutting through the hedge!! The ability to rotate the handle makes it easy to switch directions in tight areas, just love it!!

Easy to use

Bought this battery operated hedge Trimmer because my cord trimmer was difficult to use on my 2.7mt high hedge , The Cordless Makita is very easy to use & makes the job so much faster and safer than having dangerous cords getting caught on ladders and scaffolding .

Have a number of Makita battery products so this was an addition tool. So much better than having to connect a power cord. Not too heavy

Everything was fine if it received without edge damage. There is no packing damage that means the seller shipped damaged item or he didn't inspect it before dispatch.

Well worth the money

It is amazing how easy it is to trimm my hedges compared with my old one. It works well with very fine bushes as well as bigger once. It did cut through 1.5cm branches with ease. I also love the rotating rear handle making it much easier to trimm vertical. And the best part is I don't have to worry about the electrical cable any more, making trimming much faster and saver. The battery lasts easily for my medium sized backyard.

Worked only couple of times, failed the third time I used

I only used this hedge trimmer twice in a span of one year, roughly 2 hours each time, for doing very simple home backyard trimming jobs and for those first two times it worked great, so a total of 4 to 5 hours of usage roughly. But when I tried to use it a third time just before Christmas, it started up initially and then it suddenly stopped, it will only work at the lowest speed, the moment I tried to increase the speed, it will completely stop. And yes I did check that the Makita battery is fully charged. Luckily when I took it to Bunnings, Bunnings being awesome, they offered me a full refund or repair service as the tool was still under warranty and I took full refund. May be I just got unlucky with this purchase!

Works well on large cedar hedge

Bought this to compliment my other Makita 18 volt tools. We have a large area of cedar hedging and this tool handles it well. Also the 3 ah battery seems to make it through the entire cutting.

so much better than the Makita LXT - this is awesome

I bought the Makita LXT a couple of years ago and it was all right. Last week I bought the more expensive/powerful model. What used to take hours with the other less powerfull hedger now takes minutes. It is like a hot knife through butter. I am amazed at the difference. The other is okay, but if you can afford the more powerful go for it. I use it to cut my kangaroo paws back to ground level, and I have 20+, plus lots of native grasses and a few hedges
