We had been edging our Bermuda lawn with manual scissor style tool. It’s not large enough to buy an edger and there are too many plantings to get a string edger in there. Bought this tool and it work GREAT!! Just like all my other Makita tools.

Have had one of these for several years and bought another one when the hedge trimmer attachment was added to the package. Truly an arm saver from using a manual hedging shears to trim tough ground cover along sidewalk edges. It’s a tough tool and a great addition to the Makita lineup.
I have used it for 3 days now. No problems. I recharged it but it really did not show the charge was low. I hope the blades will continue to be sharp.
Powerful enough for rough work. Efficient use of battery power.
