Overall I am very happy with my purchase. It looks good and feels pretty sturdy. Our only issue was the difficulty of getting the bed frame together. The pegs were really hard to get together. Also, be careful as the finish can chip off at the corners (that happened w/ the nightstand) and they can be scratched during assembly.

The wood already started within the first week of purchase it literally sounds and feels as if it will break at any moment. Only reason I give it two stars is for the look, that's it.

Two weeks ago I purchased this bedroom set. The purchase was made and I paid for the most expensive delivery service because I wanted them to send me delivery follow-up messages. They waited until the day before the delivery deadline to tell me that the bed was sold out. I had paid the most expensive delivery service just because of the bed (because the dresser, mattress and night stands would fit in my truck) I called Ikea to cancel the purchase, they didn't want to cancel. So I asked at least to cancel the delivery fee (because it didn't make sense to pay 70 dollars if the bed wasn't included), they didn't want to refund me because according to them, they don't refund delivery... the product they had sold me! Excellent product both functionally and aesthetically. Hope it’s durability matches its looks. Happy with this purchase.
Perfect for my space. The chest of drawers may need two to help, it is a little heavy and nailing the board on the back is tricky at times if it is just yourself.Very sturdy, deep drawers to hold what I needed.
I love our new bedroom suite, we replaced our old one because we wanted something with more storage and clean and fresh for our new house. The Malm is perfect! I love the large drawers that fit so much in them. The bed- the mattress can sit at 2 heights so our thick mattress can be lowered so it doesn’t sit as high.
I purchased a two Malm beds, a dresser, a chest of drawers and three bed side tables over nine years ago and they have served me well. This bed and the bed side tables are the same quality as the previous items. I couldn't be more happy with them.
I love the clean looks of the Malm series, and the style fits beautifully in my bedroom. Although I am well experienced assembling IKEA furniture (I already have a pair of bookshelves and a computer desk), I took the time to find assembly videos on YouTube: these, combined with my own assembly hacks, proved to be invaluable tools with helping me assemble my furniture successfully and with a minimum of confusion.Because I know how sturdy this furniture is, I look forward to using my new bedroom suite for many years to come.
The flaps used for the bed as box are not soothing or are difficult to use. Would suggest regular box for better usage. Other than that everything else is great.
The online web page displayed the product color and size as available for delivery. Decided against an option that was displayed as not available. Took measurements and ensured available product would fit. However, once in the cart system errored out saying product is not available for delivery. Called customer service and the associate tried to help - however she experienced the same frustrating loop. Apparently IKEA are aware of issues and are trying to resolve them - I wish I knew ahead of time so that I knew not to waste my time.
