Finally I have found an iron supplement that I can actually take without hesitation! The taste is like a creme caramel syrup flavour. As a syrup, it is much easier than taking tablets. Dosage is around 10ml per day so can last up to 15 days if taken daily. So it works out about $1.50 per dosage - so it is not cheap! But if you require a quick fix to boost your iron, I highly recommend this syrup.

I have had so many issues with iron deficiency and all other types really hurt my stomach badly. Thought I’d try this as it’s supposed to be far more gentle and it was amazing! It tastes so incredibly good - like creme caramel syrup - best tasting supplement EVER! After taking it for only a few days after I found out how incredibly bad my levels were, taking this at high dose twice a day made a huge difference.I can’t recommend it more, absolutely brilliant stuff! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Product tastes pretty good but its too expensive considering it's only a 150ml bottle that lasts maybe a week and a half at best. These kind of products are a necessity for a lot of people suffering from iron deficiency. Although still expensive, I'll try the tablets and see how I go, at least that lasts a month.
I was told to take an iron supplement like Ferrograd or Maltofer to help with my iron deficiency. Dr said the liquid would be better tolerated. Read reviews about the pleasant taste. It's not pleasant to me. It smells sickly sweet - like decay and cherry cough syrup. It also undeniably tastes of iron. Given that it's a deep red liquid, it feels like drinking blood. That being said, holding your breath and chasing it immediately with a drink helps a lot. I don't have any other issues with it so far besides it also being pricey but I've only taken it for a few days. If other issues arise, I'll write another review.
The Maltofer website states "Maltofer Syrup can be mixed with fruit and vegetable juices. Any discolouration of the mixture does not affect the effectiveness of Maltofer Iron Syrup, nor the taste of the juices".The addition of Maltofer absolutely does affect the taste of the juice and because of this, my child refused to consume it. I was really hoping this would be a good alternative to Ferro Liquid and be more gently on their stomach but the taste and appearance is too obvious.
I purchased the Maltofer syrup as it was recommended by my nutritionist (along with other specific minerals). The syrup is quite sweet but good if you don't want tablets. As part of a combination of supplements, it is working well, but this is at 5ml a day rather than the recommended 10-20ml for adults.
Perfect for children who don’t take oral medicine. This is hidden perfectly in juice; tastes like cream rather than that overwhelming taste other iron medication has. Found out about this product, not from our doctor or paed, but from my own research and with the help of chemist warehouse was able to figure out the dosage that matched our current medication.
My son has been off and on low in iron. Normally he will use Ferro liquid which is fantastic but has out grown the taste and this was recommended to me by our GP. My son loves it, he says it tastes like strawberry cake. Great for increasing iron levels with a child friendly taste which makes medicine time easier to tackle.
this a great way to take iron supplements if you are unable to swallow tablets. The taste is not that bad, and does not seem to have the side affects of constipation often associated with taking tablet forms of iron supplements.
