Let's start with the presentation, very nice box and inside the box it came in a purple pouch, the bottle is awesome looking and has a good quality magnetic cap. Atomiser is really good.IMO it's very masculine and not unisex at all at least to my nose, but everyone is different. The opening is fruity sort of tangy lemon and bergamot. The drydown to me is very woody with a slight sweetness to it, if there is vanilla then it's very subtle, I mainly smell the subtle sweetness and woodyness in the drydown. Lemon notes definitely overpower the mint. I think they used the term “mint” to give it a sense of freshness. Can’t really smell any mint in here. But yes, it is a fresh fragrance. And yet, robust enough to use for a casual dinner. The “Aoud” doesn’t really come across has the usual “oud” one would think of. Has a somewhat floral note to it. If I had to take an educated guess, I’d zero in on ‘rose’. Good for warm days, evenings and true to the Mancera DNA - longevity is top notch. Another good fragrance from the house of Mancera. Hamdan was fourth coming, based on other customer feedback, that it doesn’t quite last as long on the skin but I’m here to tell you that on me, it stayed on, well over 12-14 hours. Like all other Mancera fragrances I have tried and own, this one could be considered super synthetic(not bad imo) as well. As a result, it doesn't come as much of a surprise to me that there is little "Aoud" in this fragrance, and it doesn't bother me either as oud is something I don't think I'd want to feel very heavy here anyway. This is sort of sweet floral fragrance with a vague interpretation of vanilla, possessing a tart or sour edge, and delivered in a very fresh and cool way. ALM has this distinctly sharp citrus (lemon) thing that happens in the beginning along with the fruits and strong sweetness from vanilla and jasmine that accompanies...the “aoud” follows in the background bringing with it a slightly creamy feel. The oud isn't animalic or medicinal and is just a cushion for the other notes. I can vaguely detect the almond and pepper. The patchouli and musk are much more evident after an hour or two. Although mint is in the name, don't be fooled into thinking there is mint in the fragrance because I detect none and isn’t listed in the notes composition. Not a linear fragrance with different stages and because of that dry down with oud, patchouli, leather and vanilla can be rocked year round… The longevity is crazy, got 12 hrs easily and projection is beastly like most of the fragrances from the brand. Not suitable for very warm and humid weather and in my case this works better in cool spring, fall and winter but also in cool summer nights. ALM bares a strong resemblance to Aoud Blue Notes and will be redundant to own both of them.

Absolutely beautiful! I sampled Roses Vanille by Mancera at the beginning of last year. I fell in love with it when I first smelled it. I usually do not like roses, but this is so much more than that. It is fresh, vanilla, warm, sweet, and sugary. The freshness and airiness come from the lemon and water notes. Even though it is sweet due to the vanilla and the double note of sugar in the fragrance composition, it never becomes cloying or too sweet, where it becomes nauseous because of its freshness. Roses Vanille smells expensive and is never childish or cheap. It is linear and has excellent longevity and sillage. I tested Rose Gourmand from Zara and found they are similar, but Roses Vanille is still more complex and better blended.

That’s actually less than a few designers with that math, and it’s a absolutely solid banger of a product. While the Original Cedarat Boise was solid, this is a perfect cologne for all year round. Versatility is important. The best seasons for this are fall/winter, and spring it’s a awesome choice. Use one spray during the summer. This is 45% extract oil, so don’t make it stronger than it needs to be. Some have said this is like Adventus Creed. Mancera has become quite the character of cologne brands, as they have unique and distinctive scents. Black Currant and citrus open this one up with a solid boom! Spices, patchouli, leather, jasmine, Cambodian Oud, Ambergris, white oak, and vanilla smooth this out. If you’re worrying the Oud will be too much, relax, as actually it’s light and quite fading pleasant in the background. I’d describe this as a strong yet refined cologne, and it’s a compliment magnet. You can wear this in the office with one or two sprays, or heat things up for a date with three. The bottle is quite attractive. You are going to love the pressurized atomizer. Simply put it’s the best ever. Also you’ll be pleased with the magnetic cap. It comes in a relatively plain black box, but also is wrapped up in a grey easy to tie or close bag. It’s up to you how you want to store it, but it’s best in a cool area away from windows. This release has been highly anticipated. It’s sales numbers are impressive. The performance is an easy two feet, and sometimes I smell it the next day. You’ll get 12 hours in a cinch. This is among the lower niche colognes, and I consider it’s value to be extraordinary. This is easily my favorite cologne, as it is playful, seductive, yet mature all at the same time. A must have, and if happy to give it a perfect score.

If you need a versatile Aventus-style scent that’s a safer blind buy, I’d reach for one of the better clones (like the Armaf I mentioned above). Personally though, I love this scent, as does my fiancée. It’s one of my favorite warm-weather reaches. Sexy, alluring, fresh, and interesting.

The woods bring this fragrance to the masculine side quite a bit. For the most part to me this is linear. It changes every so slightly during a wearing until it gets to the base where it becomes intriguing, but by then my day is pretty much over. It’s very good. I always get wafts of this when I look for it, and I get a good scent bubble from this. This lasts all day and projects for hours. I would say I get 4-6 hours of projection from this and I get about 8-10 hours with this scent. This is one of the nicest men’s colognes I’ve come across in years. It has unique fragrance that is distinctive, fresh and masculine. I often receive comments from friends and strangers saying how nice I smell. I tried the original Cedrat Boise but definitely prefer this new take on it. I only need a few sprays, one on each side of my neck and one on my shirt. It lasts all day and settles down to a tobacco/leathery smell which is awesome. I get bad headaches from some of the big brands but not this one. They obviously use top shelf ingredients. I’ve also tested Midnight Gold which is also really nice, might be my next purchase.
