This is the cheapest padded coat that M&S is selling at ÂŁ69 and I bought with the 20% off offer so it was a very good deal. It keeps me nice and warm. I am 5 ft 3 and the coat perfectly comes at my knees.My only gripe and why I didn't give it 5 stars is the hood is very bulky and as such it doesn't sit well around my neck and too big for my head. When the coat is zipped all the way up it's like the photo of the model wearing it but often I wear my scarf inside so therefore it's not zipped all the way up and because of the material it doesn't fit well around the neck area and the elastic on the cuffs could be tighter.

I had just purchased a smart Seasalt raincoat from M&S but needed a warm cosy one for dog walking in our seaside town. I found this one which seemed to fit the bill, but was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived to see how it ticked all the boxes, and then some.Its warm, yet light, has two covered pockets on the outside, plus a zipped, secure one in the inner lining, so keys are safe. The cuffs are knitted, preventing the winds from the Atlantic from going up the sleeves, and the hood stays secure, even in the strongest gale.Not only is it also smart enough to wear into town, but it’s half the price of anything comparable I’ve looked at.Absolutely superb. Well done M&S!

This coat was perfect for a winter coat in style and warmth! However as I am 5 feet 2 inches in hight ,and I have a petite frame, the sleeves were much too long and the shoulders didn't fit properly! The length was not an issue as I wanted a longer length for the winter. I don't understand why Marks and Spencer are unable to include a few classic style of coat for a petite range, I reluctantly had to return this coat, I am unable to choose another style of coat as I will still have the problem with the sleeves being too long!

I was able to purchase this lovely coat as M&S we doing their three payments scheme. It has the high end M&S quality. I have the Puffer Jacket which I purchased last year. The price has not gone up and is extremely competitive. I purchased the black coat to go with my skirts and trousers. M&S list the length so you can check it out before purchase. Delighted with this coat. So reasonably priced and nice to be up to the minute with the trend. Thank you.
Bought one last year and thought it was brill, so was to see them on sale this year again, as I wanted a different colour. They are lovely and warm, not too bulky, has a hood and is a great length - everything you want for the cold wet weather. I bought the cream colour this year and it’s really nice. Pleased to see the price is just the same. Would certainly recommend.
I am really pleased with this coat. It’s warm and yet light to wear and I like the colour and the good fit. It was also a very reasonable price. As I am short it covers a lot more of me than it would a taller person which I am happy about so my legs stay dry. I am impressed by the hood, all too often the hoods are massive so they blow off or flop down over my eyes but on this coat the hood is perfect. All in all a good buy.
Lightweight yet really warm hence the thermowarm.I went for my normal clothes size and the fit is perfect - not fitted and not loose. Its not the shape/style for an oversized look.Length perfect for me, I'm 5ft 5inch and it falls below my knees.I find the double zip useful especially on a cold day driving my car.Good addition to my wardrobe, need some cold weather now to get the most of it
I ordered cream and black, probably impractical colour but kept the cream which is actually slightly darker in reality than the pic. Feels lovely no noisy sounding polyester fabric when walking. Soft and snug, strange pockets where you have to lift up a flap to get hands in but I guess would deter someone from stealing contents.Lovely soft padded hood but could have been a little deeper
As with everything these days, price dictates. Not so clever me initially purchased a branded padded coat from an M&S competitor, only for it to be promptly returned due to inferior quality, design and extortionate price for what it actually was!I took the plunge with M&S and am so happy that I did. A lovely shade, cuffed sleeves, two deep front pockets, a zipped inside pocket, and a fabric that screams quality!
I bought the Mocha colour which looked light beige in the picture but is actually slightly darker - it’s a nice colour and goes with everything. The coat is warm enough for winter and can be worn with shoes or boots. It’s long enough to give good protection from bad weather. It has a good, elegant line. My mum loved it so much she’s bought herself one too!
