Manfrotto 190 Aluminum 3-Section Tripod with Xpro Ball Head

This Manfrotto tripod is very stout, and fairly lightweight compared to other heavier duty tripods. The build quality is excellent. It's solid as a rock with my DLSR and 500mm lens. The quick release mechanism works perfectly and feels very secure. The only down side it the leg clamps are a bit tight which I expect will get better over time. Overall an excellent tripod.

Great Tripod, Quick Setup

I bought the 190XPRO3 with XPRO Magnesium Ball Head and 200PL Plate as it is a moderate weight tripod which allows very quick change in configuration and mounting of my camera. Speed is improved by 3 section legs (vs 4 section), quick lock levers on the legs, and the incredibly quick centre column switching for horizontal use. Overall these features make setup a snap. Legs can be set at a number of angles, allowing you to get right down to the ground. Very stable and rigid. Rubber cover on the top sections of two legs for comfort when using in very cold tempertures. I'm buying an additional plate for other bodies/lenses (easy to come by as it's Manfrotto). I've not noticed any drift with my Canon 7Dmk2 and Canon 100-400mm IS II lens on the head. Pano movement and levels are standard. I looked at a lot of tripods and changed my mind several times before buying this one. Not disappointed at all. Would purchase again.

Only tripod you'll need

I use this product for professional architectural photography as well as video production with Manfrotto's 700RC2 Composite Video Head. Expect nothing but the best out of this well crafted Italian-made tripod. I've had other tripods in the past not withstand a year of moderately-low usage. This thing is exactly what I need as a working photographer on the go! It's sturdy, strong and easy to use. Makes a good system to also have a Manfrotto monopod which shares the same quick-release plate. Great price from B&H; could of easily spent this much on just the tripod legs from other stores.

[Rewarded Review] Good Ball Head Tripod

I purchased this to replace an older Wolfe Camera tripod. My review is based on this previous mid value consumer product. I am impressed with the tightness with the ball head. It is solid for now and holds the camera in place. I still need to use it several hundred times before I know it is solid. But for now, I do like how solid it holds my camera with a 50mm f/1.2 lens. Color me happy.

[Rewarded Review] Great tripod, but leg can pop out

Very solid and the 90 degree arm is super useful. I really like the rubber on the legs and the friction knob is so awesome. Everything about this tripod screams great quality. However, after releasing the top most clip and pulling the leg out to its maximum length, the part of the leg that extends can be separated from the outer leg of the tripod. basically the inner leg that extends can be separated from the top leg. The leg didn't just fall out easily, but I wonder if this would be an issue down the road. Which is why I am returning it. With all of that said, I would still recommend this product since it is a quality tripod.

[Rewarded Review] I'm IN LOVE (but not for travel)

My old tripod was heavy and hard to turn the camera. Spending this kind of money on a tripod when I already had one(ish), really was hard. But....Once I watched the youtube video on how it all works, attached my camera and used it - it's an extraordinary complete package that literally blew me away. Now, this is not light, I wouldn't travel with it, I use it in my studio and it rocks. The top pulls up, out, down and level, for shooting down. This is exactly what I wanted - for this price, there is nothing better. But...again, I wouldn't travel with it, you can take it to a shoot, it's not heavy, but I wouldn't want to drag it around with me to an airport. It's a sturdy excellent beast.

Excellent product. Stable enough for bracketing macro shots with a hefty setup (canon 5Dsr with a mp-e 65mm on a 7 inch rail) It is the heavier version which helps its stability. The actions of the ball are simple to learn and make adjustments quick and easy. I only wish it came with a carrying case.

Recently received this combination to replace my old 3001 and older Manfrotto Ball head. Was able to order it while it was on sale. This is a nice upgrade to that setup. So far it's working as advertised It is plenty sturdy for my R7 with RF100-400

[Rewarded Review] Solid, easy to use

This tripod works well, especially the levers, knobs, and quick release catches. The ball head held up my canon 100 to 400 mm lens, but not when I attached a 2x magnifying lens on it. Then there was a lot of drift down to set it in place. The fine tune friction knob helped,. I would recommend this tripod for any camera system that does not have a very heavy lens system.
