It was ok at first nothing special, the ball head isn't very good if you have a lens such as a 70-300mm like I have you get a lot of droop where you've tightened the ball as much as you can and still the lens droops downwards proving the ball head can't handle much weight at all. After about a year of use one of the legs seized up and was became absolutely impossible to extend. What happened was the middle section on one leg turned inside the top section and as a result it got weged solidly. I've been trying to free it for a month and have had no luck trying to free it, it won't extend. The tripod is useless and so i've thrown it away i'll never buy Manfrotto again.

DIY class equipment. Good value for the price. Great way to speed up home drywall projects. It require a universal vacuum hose adaptor to connect it to a shopvac. However a little packing tape between the sander hose and the shopvac hose worked fine for me in a pinch.

I got this tripod a couple weeks ago and love it. So far, I have used it for macro and night photography. Its a great all around tripod. With the ball head it can rise above my head I am 6 feet tall and go down to a few inches off the ground. It feels sturdy at each height. The carbon fiber makes it quite sturdy and doesnt move much when you tap it. This is about the Same weight as my previous tripod, but with a lot more features.

Love this tripod. Not too heavy, but solid as a rock. Easy to adjust, convenient bubble levels, snaps on and locks easily and smoothly. Carbon fiber. Its great.
I produce video and photography and this tripod works well for either. Great construction and easy to adjust legs are great for me as everything I do has to be quick and lightweight.
Medium duty, quality built. I especially like the easy of the 90 pivot system. No tools, no unscrewing and parts. Feels sturdy. The pan tilt head is a nice alternative to my much larger and more expensive Manfrotto geared head. Great kit for the price for a portable unit kit.
This replaces a Manfrotto carbonfiber tripod that I owned and used heavily for the past three years. These tripods are workhorses. I like the new design of the leg extension tubes and find that the lighter weight of the tripod does not come t the expense of stability. I use this with a fairly heavy medium format digital camera and Manfrotto ball head, and do a lot of long exposure work. The results so far have been excellent.
I bought this tripod because it is stable, well built, and it supports a horizontal column which is suitable for macro photography. This tripod is quite heavy so it is not suitable for travel so I will use it mainly in my studio.
After many years of using an aluminum tripod, I made the commit to carbon fiber. Pro friends said to quit stalling and Im glad I made the move. Solid, sturdy tripod that works really well. Quick release clamps make adjusting the legs easy. The ball head clamps tight right where I need it to. Im impressed with the workmanship and quality of the product.
Very sturdy and lives up to the Manfrotto reputation of being a great product. Great feature of the extension arm which give some additional height. Everything is built solid and would certainly purchase another if the need arises. Always get the best deals and products from BH.
