If you want to be able to have one or two bound books or fake books open to read, and you are playing in a room with a table or desk in front of your face, this is the solution to keeping those books open, stable, and at the desired angle. This stand is solid, perfect and very functional for what I need! It's easily adjustable. I can set it on top of my grand piano with the lid down and see and read perfectly or I can use it at the table while practicing guitar or singing. It's a great addition to my studio! If you need one to set on tp of a table or anything else, this definitely fits the bill and I highly recommend it!
