The dark neutral purple looks violet black when first dyed and then fades later into blue burgundy. The color is semi permanent and last about four to six weeks depending how much you wash your hair. I like that it leaves a nice rich color and when I lightening it with bleach there is even more purple. I did like the color but since this is semipermant, I have to redo the color again in a month. I like that it is direct dye so I do not have to mix anything or do anything extra unless I want to bleach. I feel like it did not leave my hair damage all and the intense color is pretty and I have a deep purple that looks great with black hair.

I am going to try to review this as systematically as possible. Firstly I was unable to use the bleach kit because when I looked up the instructions on Manics website it specifically said to not use it over already dyed hair. I know Influenster knows that I have dyed hair because I select it on my pre-questionnaires, so I’m not sure if this was an Influenster or Manic mistake. It went on daily easily with the brush that was included in the kit. Overall it did not cover my grays and only slightly altered my hair color as shown in the picture. It looked like I had chunky highlights straight out of the 90s and none of my greys were covered. My boyfriend's first comment: "why is your hair 12 different colors?" 🤦‍♀️ To say that this was a negative experience is putting it lightly. I had to re-dye my hair to my normal color and even that didn't fix everything. I can't say for sure that my lack of experience with bleach was the culprit, but this is not a step that beginners should attempt imo. I was left feeling all the hair blues and for someone who works in corporate America, an array of colors in my hair isn't a great look. I can go as far as to sayIi would be reluctant to accept more opportunities for complementary hair dyes in the future for a very realistic fear of the results.

I received Purple Haze Amplified. It’s supposed to be the same shade as the original in the jar but longer lasting. I find that the Amplified is actually brighter than I remember the original Purple Haze. I put it over my already colored mushroom blonde hair and I got a bright vibrant purple. I had some darker blonde roots and it colored them as well but it isn’t as vibrant which is to be expected. I’ve washed it numerous times and it’s still quite bright just a bit of fading on the root areas. First picture is shortly after coloring. Second picture is after a few washes. Electric Watermelon Classic High Voltage was a new one for me though. As always, my hair feels super soft afterwards and the shine is incredible. This formula is so easy to apply. I washed my hair (no conditioner), towel dried it, applied the color to my hair using my hands, and let it sit while I ate breakfast (about 45 min.), rinsed and conditioned, and done! It usually locks in after 15 minutes, but leaving it in longer doesn't harm your hair. I think whatever chemical issue happened to the product caused it to lose its ability to thoroughly penetrate the hair shaft. Rinsing the product was a very pleasant experience. There was no staining or color fallout at all, even when shampooing. I was surprised. My hair also felt very silky smooth. I was very happy about that. All in all, I still love Manic Panic, but I am sad I received a defective bottle of Heather. It probably happened due to the extreme cold snap we had where I live though, so I can't blame the company. Thank you Influenster and Manic Panic for allowing me to try Heather.

Small Jar but Powerful Product for Perfect Peach

I have used this product three times now, so I am confident in my rating while writing this review!For reference: My hair is bleached blonde, level eight or nine after I bleach it, and slightly damaged from the frequent bleaching. I bleach and color my hair entirely myself, and I used an arctic fox blend of dyes before I switched to try this one.When this product arrived, I was worried about the size of the jar, but I tend to dilute conditioner to achieve a lighter, more pastel tone so I wasn’t too concerned. (But if you wanted a really intense color payout, be warned that the jar might not be long enough if you have medium to long hair length!!) I have noticed that the color lasts a little bit longer than the Arctic fox mixture I was using before as well. please note that I work to achieve a more pastel toned look by diluting the dye with conditioner, so I cannot speak to how long the color would last straight out of the jar for an intense bright color look! Also please note that I wash my hair with color-safe products and lukewarm water to ensure the color doesn’t run down the drain.Every 6 weeks or so, I bleach my roots that have grown out and then re-dye the entire head pastel peach. I have done this 3 times as of this review, and I have 1-2 more “uses” left in the jar before I would run out. This is because I dilute the dye with conditioner, but I am happy with the length of time the product is providing me. The color fade slowly, but not as fast as I expected, which is very nice to see!Overall I am very happy with this product and I plan on re-ordering soon. And PLEASE never discontinue this gorgeous color of peach pink!!

Mixed impressions. I am a long-time fan of Arctic fox. I usually mix my dyes with conditioner because my hair was so long and needed a LOT of product to make sure every inch was saturated. I only used a half of a pot of this (not diluted) on my faded purple hair. I had washed my hair with shampoo, no conditioner, let it dry, and applied the product. I left it in for about 45 mins. Washed it with just cold water until it ran mostly clear. When I got out of the shower I used a bunch of my normal color safe product. But my hair was left feeling super dry :( the color was absolutely to die for, if anything a bit darker than I was expecting. Would not use this color on dark brown hair.I would mix this with an arctic fox pink to get this beautiful color with a longer stay and a better conditioning quality.

I bought both the Amplified version & not because I didn’t know what the difference was. I wish the website would be more clear about that when there are multiple applications for the same color. The only difference in ingredients was castor oil in one & not the other. I ended up using the other one. When I saw the 2 painted on paper next to each other they were definitely not the shade pictured online - far lighter. The 2 applications looked fairly similar but not quite identical in color. I was planning on using more of this with LieLock highlights but went the opposite because this was so light. Would I buy this again? Maybe - if I were looking for a color lighter than the picture.
