First of all, this component has performed beyond expectations, it’s a brute, weighing in at just under 30 pounds, it has an overall solidity and quality about it which is pleasing and satisfies my need for top notchold school 2 channel stereo. Love the subtle adjustments obtainable from the midrange control, with certain recordings, and the treble and bass controls seem to affect only the very top and bottom ranges of those frequencies. The phono preamp section is excellent, and mates perfectly with my U Turn turntable also purchased with the Marantz. Great service too from WW Stereo, as usual, and will continue purchasing from this company in the future.

An excellent amplifier which pairs perfectly with my 50n CD player. It has all the inputs I had hoped for.
First of all, this component has performed beyond expectations, it’s a brute, weighing in at just under 30 pounds, it has an overall solidity and quality about it which is pleasing and satisfies my need for top notchold school 2 channel stereo. Love the subtle adjustments obtainable from the midrange control, with certain recordings, and the treble and bass controls seem to affect only the very top and bottom ranges of those frequencies. The phono preamp section is excellent, and mates perfectly with my U Turn turntable also purchased with the Marantz. Great service too from WW Stereo, as usual, and will continue purchasing from this company in the future.

Had Model 50 for 2 days. It had big shoes to fill as it had to replace a NAD 3020a that I have been using for the last 41 years! It, however, fullfils this role perfectly. It has a rich warm sound that makes even "enthusiastically " mastered recordings listenable and sounds amazing with great recordings. I thought the phono stage may be a poor match for my AT-VM540ML cartridge and I would have to continue with a separate phono stage, however it seems perfect with no capacitance issues. The sound is warm and maybe a bit old fashioned, but it means you can listen for hours without tiring. The volume knob is of the infinite rotating variety and turns forever for little change in volume, best to use the remote.
