Marc Jacobs Daisy EDT 200ml

To start with the bottle, it is very girly with the pink glass and very large, oversized daisy cap. The cap makes the bottle very impractical as it is so large. This is a bottle you would need to display due to its size. Although it is a floral, it is not a floral-forward scent. This is my first time trying a Daisy scent and although it smells nice, it is nothing I woukd have bought for myself. It is predominantly very sweet and juicy, definitely a summer or spring scent, and not very sophisticated. It is inoffensive enough to be a blind buy, especially for a younger person. Because it is not a parfum, the scent did not last very long but that is to be expected. My partner liked it well enough on me. I will use the bottle but will most likely not purchase. I did receive this product from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. To start with the bottle, it is very girly with the pink glass and very large, oversized daisy cap. Daisy is a sparkly floral-woody fragrance, fresh and feminine at the same time. It is devoted to a sophisticated, seductive, and dazzling woman, which at the same time strives to simplicity. Daisy opens with a sweet strawberry note, freshened by some light citrus. A prominent violet note emerges early on, light and lovely, more dewy and green than powdery and melancholic. It is joined by some barely-there sweet white florals. As it develops, soft woody notes ground it somewhat, while vanilla enhances the sweetness. It becomes sweetly musky as it fades, pleasant and subtle throughout. Sillage is fairly intimate and longevity is moderate. A subtle, feminine daytime fragrance, Daisy is fuss-free yet elegant. Basic but inoffensive

This is another fragrance in that category I think of as body splash-plus.I don’t feel like the fragrance notes are accurate. I have seen iris, patchouli, and sorbetto/whipped cream. I only get the patchouli out of that list. For me, the first note is berries and it’s anchored by patchouli. Like BBW Sun-Ripened Raspberry from middle school with a musk base. After about 15 minutes the musk is more apparent. The two notes aren’t really blended to me - they just sit stacked on each other. 3 hours in the berry notes are faint. At 4 hours it is a skin scent. Barely detectable at 7 hours and after 8.5 it’s gone. It didn’t give me a migraine, thankfully. Light-moderate sillage (which I don’t mind). The listed inspiration is “desert super bloom” whereas I picture tropical floral scents when I think of paradise. So there is a disconnect for me in the branding of this. It’s a perfectly pleasant, simple, unexciting fragrance. I’m not mad to own it, but it’s not something I would seek out, and I don’t think it will get much use.

Basic floral fragrance that cannot go wrong, but….

When i first smelled this perfume, i was in awe. I thought i had found my scent. It has a sweet scent but not the sharp-sweetness kind that makes ur head spin. It’s also kinda powdery & floral. Perfect for everyday wear & for perfume beginners like me. After a while though, i start to realise that it really did not have a strong staying power. I sprayed 4 times & 2 hours later the fragrance is gone. That’s the only con i have, should have known as Marc Jacob’s perfume have a rep for being not long lasting..I also started thinking that it was kinda basic smelling after owning other perfumes. Not that it was a problem, but it sort of became normal compared to other strong perfumes i have. That’s why i said this perfume is great for perfume beginners. Beautiful Scent, But Lasting Power is Poor

The Good: I've owned this perfume many times since its original release in 2007 but I mysteriously stopped repurchasing it. When I initially spray this on the skin I get notes of mixed floral, a stronger citrus and a touch of alcohol-which I genuinely enjoy. But this perfume really shines after it dries and mixes with my chemistry I get a wonderful, luxurious, full-bodied violet scent. It transports me to drinking wine by the countryside in a wonderfully kept garden filled with luscious violet field. Truly and classically, a sexy floral scent. I went on a perfume challenge recently and re-discovered why I liked this perfume so much back in the day, which is always a nice stroll down memory lane. I went on a perfume challenge recently and re-discovered why I liked this perfume so much back in the day, which is always a nice stroll down memory lane. The bottle is also quite gorgeous and eye-catching on a vanity, so if you're a sucker for beautiful bottles with gorgeous scents this is a classic. The Bad: As much as I love the scent I'm incredibly disappointed by it's lasting power. As most perfumes almost "fade out" from the skin into a fainter version of themselves, this mysteriously disappears. Every time I use this I had to re-apply within a couple of hours and then re-apply again. I don't know if it's because it's a eau de toilette opposed to a eau de parfum or if it's something with my skin chemistry but this literally disappears without a trace... it's the strangest thing. I like a perfume that lasts at least 6 hours so I really feel like the lack of lasting power takes away from how awesome this scent is. The Ugly/Honest: As stated, the staying power needs massive work. For a brand like Marc Jacobs, I really expect more intensity in their fragrances. I owned some of the other fragrances and don't recall any of them disappearing off my skin like this one does. Since this is the OG, I think that's a bit backwards and disappointing. The scent overall gets 4 stars but I had to knock off a star for the poor lasting power.

Light, fruity-gloral

The bottle with its pink color and perky pink flower atop makes me happy just to look at it. It reminds me of the halcyonic days of summer. The scent is a fruit-forward floral. It has a light scent of delicate flowers...maybe iris?...to me, but the card that accompanied the Influenster package shows pink, purple, and white flowers on it so maybe those are the floral notes. It definitely is a fruity floral, but is grounded with a warmer, muskier scent. Daisy Paradise is an Eau de Toilette, so don't expect the scent to last long. I am using it as a bedtime perfume which it is perfect for...not too strong with a pretty scent to surround oneself as they go to sleep. I wish Marc Jacobs also offered Eau de Parfum versions of its fragrances for staying power, but for those ... MoreThe bottle with its pink color and perky pink flower atop makes me happy just to look at it. Pretty perfume

Such a beautiful fragrance in a pretty bottle. This bottle is too sweet to put away, it is worth leaving out for people to see. I initially purchased this fragrance as a gift and it went down so well that I decided to buy for myself. I also tried another Marc Jacobs perfume for comparison however this was the most subtle and feminine. It is a subtle soft fragrance perfect for summer days or balmy evenings. It continually reminds me of summer and I also like to decant it into travel spritzers for when I go away during the winter months to a warmer climate. It is most definitely not over powering and I can guarantee you will get many compliments. I recommend this fragrance for anyone wanting a summery, fresh and feminine fragrance that will outshine others and be ... MoreSuch a beautiful fragrance in a pretty bottle. Marc Jacobs daisy perfume is a MUST if you want a long lasting perfume. Importantly, this Perfume makes you smell fresh. The designer perfume has a hint of a citrus scent; a honeyed mandarin, fresh mango, and pineapple bathed in a rosewater bath. It kisses your skin like a sunny spring day, making it your signature scent. Furthermore, the perfume last for a good amount of time. One of the reasons I wanted this perfume was not only for the scent, but the perfume bottle itself was just eyecatching. The glass bottle makes it visible so you can see the pink-orange liquid bubbling inside. The bottle has a big white daisy sitting on top; which I believe is endearing. Critics may say this perfume may be expensive for anyones liking even with the two sizes; however, it could be a perfect gift or you could pay way less with the bundles.
