Hangs on the outside of the tank. Requires air pump. Not what I was expecting

These breeder boxes are great to use with live-bearing fish that eat their babies (i.e. guppies, platies, mollies, etc.). They not only separate the female fish, which often get stressed by males right before birth, they also provide the babies safety when they drop to the bottom of the safety V. I highly recommend!!!

Best thing since sliced bread. This thing is brilliant climatizing your fish to your tank water. Just put your fish in the breeder box turn on your air that's it just leave it for a couple of hours ..I see a big difference in the fish as I introduce them to the tank

Yet another simple but effective product. I read the reviews and am currently putting it to the test. However, for use as a fry tank to keep fry in the same water conditions as hatched with parents, this is great. Water flow by air pump is slower I can see the use of a small powerhead pump. This will do the job more effective than in a floating breeder.

Review of Hang-On Breeding Box

Excellent product. It’s in the tank now with female guppy. Love the airation feature. It’s quite robust. No rubber suction, hangs on the rim of tank.

Very noisey. Not a good product.

Used the hang on box for fry. Lost several fry a couple times from getting through over flow.

Works as Hang-On Refugium!

This product worked out great as a Hang-On Refugium for my 20g Reef aquarium. I tried it with an air pump at first and although it has flow, it is lacking quite a bit; not to mention it is quite noisy. I swapped out the air pump for a small internal pump and it fit very well and had great flow for use as a Refugium. I also added a small power compact light fixture to keep the Macro Algae alive and

Works good, space saving, just be careful, some betta squeeze out the flow part.

Excellent quality at a fair price. It is better than having to purchase more aquariums.
