Mario Badescu - Vitamin C Serum - For All Skin Types (29ml/1oz)

I do enjoy products from this brand and I was excited to try this one. I received it in my Allure Beauty Box. It's not watery or syrupy, it's more oily. It did feel very nice on the skin, my makeup didn't pill or get patchy. But after a few days, I alternate it in my am skin care routine, my skin got so dry and crusty. I stopped and treated my skin, thinking maybe it was just the sudden cold weather, and tried again. Same result. My nose was especially crusty. I do tend to have dryer skin and my winter skin is very dry. But I just couldn't continue with this.

I love this serum! I have tried so many and they tend to be extremely greasy overly oily but this one is perfect!!!! I love it! It hasn’t made my face break out I’ve been using it everyday 2 times a day since I got it in my December 2022 Allure Beauty box it’s so fire! I’ll be buying it when I run out because it’s soooo worth it! Believe all the hype!!!! A guy told me today my skin was so shiny, he said it shine so bright; like a diamond💎 Doesn’t make you break out either 💃🏻 I’d recommend it to anyone and I’d use this serum for daytime use. Night I use stronger moisturizers and serums. There was nothing that I disliked about the serum except I accidentally spilled it!!! Definitely for day time! Your skin will shine!

Best Vitamin C serum

I love this Vitamin c serum. My oily/combination skin absorbs it quickly despite the oily texture. It leaves a mild tingling sensation and a wonderful lavender fragrance. My skin texture has improved a lot and the lines on my forehead are fading. I am prone to breaking out with oily textures, but it has not happened with this serum. Actually, my face is getting more normal than oily/combination as I use this product. I have tried many high-end expensive serums, and none of them compare to this one. My favourite go-to product.

Excellent Surprise

I bought a bottle of this a few months ago based on good reviews and just tried it about 3 weeks ago. Once I opened it, my first reaction was, "oh no, not another oil-based serum". Most of the oil-based serums sit on top of my skin and never absorb and leave me a greasy mess, but this was totally different. Immediately, I noticed it started to sink in and left my skin feeling smoother with no oily feel. After a few days of nightly use, my skin looked and felt softer and smoother, with a reduction in my fine lines. I have combination skin, but no break-outs or negative reactions from this serum. Great value Vitamin C serum with clear results

I bought the Mario Badescu "Discover Mario" miniatures pack which included a small bottle of this serum. I wanted to try the Vitamin C Serum first before committing to a full size bottle so the miniatures pack was the perfect way to do this and it allowed me to also test out some of their other products which I may not have otherwise tried.I was primarily looking for a vitamin C serum to help with my uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation that had really flared up throughout my pregnancy and postpartum.I bought the miniatures pack about 2.5 months ago and have only just finished the miniature size bottle now. I really love that it also gives my skin a gorgeous glow.I have been applying it every second night after cleansing and after applying a few spritzs of the Mario Badescu Facial Spray. I then follow with hyaluronic acid, face oil and moisturiser. I did not find that the serum has any smell which is what I like and it also has a face oil consistency making it very easy to apply all over my face using only 4 drops.I have now just purchased a full size bottle and expect this to last me ages, possibly 12 months, so I am really happy about that and think that it really is supe value for $ particularly given the huge price of other Vitamin C serums on the market.

Not for me

After using the Vitamin E Serum for 3 wks my face started breaking out with under the skin pimples. I read so many wonderful reviews for this product that I was very excited to try it. At first I noticed red spots appearing on my chin, now I seeing spots on my cheeks and forehead. I'm 65+ and I seriously don't want to see this breakout on my face. I'm very disappointed with this expensive serum, now it's going to go in the garbage. Back to the basics, a good natural cleanser, green tea toner, SPF 15 sunscreen & a good moisturizer for this face.

I almost stop believing in that until I began to use this serum. I have a combo skin so cheeks tend to be dry especially during the winter months. I have been using hydra essence from another brand during winter, but sadly it just didn't’t work on my face once the sun kicks in. That was when I was back in the search for vitamin C serum. This is first serum I’ve used in long time that had very noticeable results in short time. Skin is definitely smoother looking and even toned. Texture is thicker and a little oily so I use it at night and it absorbs nicely. I put a thicker cream serum over it once it dries and works great. Absolutely no breakouts or purging from this on my sensitive skin. Will definitely this keep in my night routine.

Tried & No Longer True

As a long-time consumer of this product (and this brand to be frank), I have always raved about this Vitamin C serum. Whether I purchase it in retail stores or online, I made sure it was a staple in my skincare routine. Following my most recent purchase of this serum, I began to notice the distinct changes in my skin's appearance. A rash of some sort began to develop and after MONTHS of trying to eliminate various products in my regimen, I FINALLY identified this specific product to be the culprit. Sad to say that I will no longer be purchasing this or incorporating it in my routine. On to the next....!!!

I’m living for this product. It goes on your skin smoothly and doesn’t leave it sticky or shiny. It smells yummy and makes you feel like you’re pampering yourself (as you should). I started using this to help reduce hyperpigmentation (I’m Hispanic with medium latte skin tone) and for any acne scarring. I’ve been using this a solid 2 and a half months and my scarring/pigmentation has reduced significantly. This is for sure a staple I need in my routine, no doubt about it.
