The game that launched the Mario & Luigi series returns looking better than ever before. In this renewed classic, Mario and Luigi journey to the Beanbean Kingdom with Bowser to restore Princess Peach’s voice.Gameplay and story wise, the game has been kept as similar as possible to preserve the appeal and flavour of the original. The story begins in the Mushroom Kingdom with Princess Peach’s voice being stolen by the evil Great Cackletta and her 2nd in command, Fawful. Mario and Luigi (with the unlikely help of Bowser) must then travel to the Beanbean Kingdom to rescue Princess Peach and protect the Beanstar. To do so, the player takes control of Mario and Luigi, exploring the world, defeating enemies in RPG-mechanic based battles and solving puzzles. Bowser’s Minions is a complete game on its own, unlockable via the primary game mode which features Captain Goomba and his growing squad of villains from the Mario universe.11 The player takes the role of a Captain (initially Goomba, but several others will join the team) who wants to reunite with Bowser’s minions. To do so, the player has to deploy his own squad of up to eight soldiers to fight battles against enemy armies. The storyline is independent to that of the main game, although containing some funny references and great background jokes. It unfolds around Captain Goomba going on a quest to get Lord Bowser back after Koopa Cruiser crashed on its way to Beanbean the Kingdom. Rated: G.Consumer advice: Very mild violence.
